Critic Reviews for Mycopunk
Mycopunk blends co-op shooting, unbridled mobility, and surprisingly deep customization, along with several brilliant ideas. While there is a bit too much repetition, the progression can occasionally feel slow, and the visual clarity isn't always perfect, it's a great package for the price if you're a fan of co-op shooters.

Pigeons at Play and Devolver Digital's frantic fungus-based shooter Mycopunk is as fun as it is challenging for both solo players and multiplayer.
Mycopunk is a co-op FPS that gets a lot of things right. It takes established mechanics, mixes them with fresh ideas, and serves them up on a platter of controlled chaos, fun, but also repetitiveness.

Mycopunk is one of those games that I am happy to report, while it wasn’t largly on my radar, it is now. It’s a fun co-op game that gets fairly intense when it wants to, but still allows you and your friends to take it all in and have a chuckle along the way. Everything about this game is zany, wacky, and most importantly, fun. It seems like there is more work to be done; I imagine most games like this land firmly in that square, but for what is there, you can expect a lot of good times along the way.
Mycopunk is an original, personality-packed cooperative shooter that stands out thanks to its modular enemy destruction system, character mobility, and surprisingly extensive equipment customization. However, a certain degree of mission repetition and some issues with visual clarity prevent the game from achieving even more compelling results. Despite this, Pigeons at Play’s project manages to turn chaos into one of its greatest strengths, offering a particularly fun experience when played with a close-knit team.
