Werewolves Within (VR) Reviews
When it works and none of the seven players have any audio or connectivity issues, Werewolves Within is competitive, surprisingly friendly, easy to jump into and even easier to play for hours on end, building up an active repertoire of new online friends as you go. When it doesn’t work, though, it’s inexcusably hard to play, and that’s unfortunately very often.
Ubisoft's Werewolves Within is an exciting demo of VR's social capabilities, even if the final product is somewhat bare bones.
The first few months of PlayStation VR have delivered a vast range of experiences, but I have to say that Werewolves Within is my personal favourite. It’s such a basic concept, but how it’s realised brings players together in a way that’s rarely done in videogames. The community is fantastic and helpful, the rules are easy to pick up, and soon enough you’re mixing it up with people from all over. While there are some bugs that Ubisoft need to iron out Werewolves Within is a must have title for anyone who owns a VR headset.
Werewolves Within is a cool experiment wrapped into an above-average game. It's limited and laser-focused, but it's good at what it does.
Werewolves Within is an incredible social experience and the first online game to really make it feel like you are sitting around the campfire with seven other people. The character animations are emotive and quite literally come to life through the voices and head movements of each player.
Werewolf Within is one of the best VR games released so far and a huge surprise. Once you have found the right group is really hard to leave the match: every gaming session end after many hours and laughs.

Werewolves Within is a very clever game that successfully turns a real-world party game into the virtual sphere that works on all levels. It’s quite clever and one really enjoyable VR experience on the PlayStation VR but its premise may get a little repetitive!
An intimidating and mixed VR experience, but could appeal to fans of the ‘whodunnit’ genre.
After getting lost playing this game for hours and hours several days and nights in a row I can say that Werewolves Within is one of the best social gaming experiences I’ve ever had. Being in VR it really just further enhances the experience and makes you feel like you really are sitting there in that circle with the other players. The way the game works makes it so the community gets along well and everyone has a better time for it. Yes there are some annoying little bugs here and there and yeah over time it will be harder to find people to play with. For now though It’s a game that I’ll be coming back to over and over just to meet up with some great new random people and have a good time while hopefully catching that werewolf.
That all said, Werewolves Within is a fun way to spend an evening, and it’s currently the most social experience you can have with the PlayStation VR online.
Casually launched for the PlayStation VR, Ubisoft's Werewolves Within is probably a must for the console, as well as on PC via Steam and Oculus or HTC Vive. A great adaptation of a classic party game, combined with the VR experience and online interactivity makes this title a frantically hilarious experience.
