Angels with Scaly Wings
Top Critic Average
Angels with Scaly Wings succeeds in many areas where most visual novels do not, but its failure in the fundamentals of the genre keep it from being a great game.
Angels with Scaly Wings has mostly good sci-fi writing, and the choices it presents are welcomed, leading to replay value. The shallow romantic subplots have me hoping that a prequel/sequel has a bit more thought, though.
A strong story coupled with well-written characters is brought down by cringeworthy romancing. Angels With Scaly Wings is a rather enjoyable yarn irrespective of your ability to woo dragons.
A decently well-written game that almost elevates its silly concept with a heavily interwoven narrative that makes creative use of multiple replays. It's ultimately unable to get away from the stigma of being a 'dragon porn' game but doesn't completely succeed as one either.
Angels with Scaly Wings generally overcomes its goofy setup and simplistic presentation to deliver a character-driven plot with some good surprises, making for a decent little diversion of a game.
