L.A. Noire for Switch is simply one of the greatest ports for the console seen to date. It retaines all the content from the original versions and adjust it to the functions of the system in an outstanding way. Maybe the graphics pale when compared with the recent remastered editions, but believe us when we say that playing this game on the go is a complete delight.

Rockstar Games tackling the handheld version with so much care is worth the full price: with Cole Phelps adventures in LA getting a new lease on life.

With an excellent storyline, great gameplay, refreshed visuals and extra bonus content, this remastered version of L.A. Noire is the definitive package for longtime fans of the game and for those who haven't played it yet.

Despite its age L.A. Noire is still a great game which has to be played by fans of the crime genre. MotionScan still looks as good as back then and the Nintendo Switch version with its newly added Touch Controls stands out as the best and most interesting version for me.

Still arguably the best detective game, and an impressively ambitious example of adult storytelling – despite a few structural and narrative flaws.

L.A. Noire remains the best detective game around. Combing crime scenes, interrogating suspects, and catching them in lies with evidence to back up accusations is just as rewarding as ever. This port has allowed the game to age a little better than the original, however, it doesn't look like a massive upgrade was made in terms of graphics. The included photo mode is also welcome, but it has some odd limitations that may prove frustrating. Still, if you missed the original, or want the entire experience all over again in up to 4K resolution, then it's worth the asking price of $39.99.

L.A. Noire is definitely worth playing, especially if you haven't done it yet. It delivers many hours of pure fun in a great atmosphere of noir movies. Sometimes the quality of the graphics fails, and the game can seem repetitive and archaic. Also, there was no point in changing the wording on dialogue choices, but it's nothing compared to its content.

Being the detective Phelps again after six years was more enjoyable than expected, mainly thanks to the unique features of Switch.

On the whole, any concerns that the Switch would get a watered down or poor port of L.A. Noire are well and truly quashed. Yes the game isn’t perfect and it still has a few problems that haven’t been entirely addressed such as slightly clunky controls during the more tightly spaced areas, the gunplay and the not so overly specific dialogue system, but for a six-year-old game it still holds up extremely well and as mentioned earlier, some aspects have yet to be bettered. If you have never played the game before then this is a great way to experience it.

L.A. Noire is a game that feels better on this current generation of consoles over the last. The ability to replay cases gives plenty of reasons to get perfect ratings on each one. The investigations are deep, and rewarding as you solve each one. L.A. Noire has been given a second chance, and while flawed it is like nothing else out there today. Whether you are returning to 1940s Los Angeles, or starting new, L.A. Noire being remastered for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch is worth every bit of the experience, like a modern day adventure game.

The most important parts of LA Noire have aged beautifully, with incredibly detailed faces, diverse characters, and unique, challenging crimes to solve as a detective. The top-notch writing and voice acting bring 1940s Los Angeles to life, but are let down by a dull open world with frequent frame rate drops. Aside from difficulty aiming in gun fights, it's a smart port with accurate motion controls and the ability to play almost entirely touchscreen, too.

L.A Noire is a fantastic game that finds a home on the Nintendo Switch, and the portability aspect really helps. While each case is pretty large, the ability to save (along with auto-saves) at any time makes this a perfect game for on the go or at home. Rockstar put the effort into this port and it shows. Sure, it's a bit of an older game and does show some age from time to time, but L.A. Noire is another great triple-A third party release that shouldn't be overshadowed by games like Skyrim and DOOM. If you are looking for a fantastic story-driven game with unique gameplay, L.A. Noire should be in your Switch library.

L.A. Noire wasn't a faultless game back in 2011 and that hasn't changed in 2017, yet it somehow manages to be more than the sum of its parts.

Improved interrogation options help these cold cases hold up six years after they originally released. However, the fantastic open-world setting is still underutilized

The beating heart of L.A. Noire is its ability to make you feel like a 1940s detective rubbing your nose against the seedy underbelly of a city full of secrets. But those considerable charms can't hide a half-hearted port that comes with a $40 price tag to boot.

If you are not in it for the small talk and details like that, then L.A. Noire might not be for you. But if you are, then I can 100 % say go out and pick up L.A. Noire. The game is truly one of a kind and it is nice to see it back on the modern day consoles.
