Bud Spencer & Terence Hill - Slaps And Beans Reviews
Bud Spencer & Terence Hill - Slaps And Beans is a love letter to the career of both Italian actors and arcade side-scrolling brawlers. If you find yourself in either camp, this is a highly recommended option. If you happen to be on both groups, this is truly a no-brainer – even the relatively high price is more than justified by the quality and quantity of content that will keep you smiling, at least while the ride lasts. It's a shame Bud Spencer passed away back in 2016 – we believe he would get a kick out of seeing this game in action, bringing the duo's trademark slapstick comedy into a whole new medium and generation. Kindly slap us some beans, please.
Slaps & Beans had the threefold challenge of making arcade fans like it, making Bud Spencer's and Terence Hill's fans smile, and being a game competent enough to justify its existence beyond the tribute. Fortunately, it has managed to overcome all three aspects.

Not so good at all - the pixel fight with Bud and Terence scores with original soundtracks, but is otherwise a bad choice.

Graphically, the game Bud Spencer & Terence Hill - Slaps And Beans is set in a classic and attractive pixel retro style in the concept of a platformer, which looks very pleasant and playful. Of course, you can't expect a big graphical marvel that will leave you open-mouthed, but it fits the concept of the game perfectly. Moreover, if you are a fan of B&T, you will be able to recognize the individual characters from their films. Sound-wise, the game is more than good. The original music from the films accompanies us throughout the game, and if you just want to listen to the music, there is a jukebox in the menu. The sound effects are appropriate to the game, and the developers haven't forgotten the sounds from the movies when Bud gives someone a "hammer blow" to the head or Terrence his legendary "ping pong". Those who were looking forward to the dubbing are unfortunately out of luck. The game contains no dubbing, the conversations are within the text. Fortunately, the developers have thought about the Czech Republic, so there is complete Czech in the game.

Slaps and Beans is the first video game based on these two mythical actors where justice is done. All a tribute to the gangster cinema, spaghetti western, or buddy cop, out of the Italian film industry that between the 60s and 80s were the entertainment and fun of many of us who have already passed their thirties. We will handle our heroes in a classic brawler, fun without pretensions but that works perfectly based on an exquisite fan service that will delight fans. If you are not a fan of our Italian friends or simply do not know them, you will find a classic beat'em up, quite short, which even so, would be a recommended product, but which will lose its magic, perhaps interesting to give it a go on any offer.

Slaps and Beans is a game that shows that living in the past isn’t always a good thing. Only those who love their fighting games will see something good in this game.
