Repetitive gameplay and high price prevent Onrush from becoming a new benchmark in racing genre, but it can still be fun for die hard fans of arcade racing.

Onrush may surprise with its fun and thrilling elements that'll offer in every match, and I think the best thing the game did is killing off selfishness and improving the co-op gameplay. Recommended for fast-racing games fans.

It's a one-of-a-kind experience that adds freshness to a market that desperately needed it. The vehicle abilities, awe-inspiring crashes, and the over-the-top action make Onrush a must play for anyone who enjoys racing games. Hell, even if driving games aren't your cup of tea, Onrush is one cup that everyone should try.

Overall, Onrush can be considered a fun and entertaining game that shows a fair quality in all its components, including gameplay, area design, music, sound, etc. The game can really convey the pleasure of fighting and destruction and has proved well in this regard. Its gameplay cannot be seen in other games. however, the most significant disadvantage is its high $60 price; Onrush has not enough content compared to the charged price.

Onrush is an exciting new direction and a refreshing change of pace for a racing game that is built on top of teamwork. It has some great competitive modes and a promising multiplayer support, but the lack of gameplay variety can affect its long-term appeal.

Onrush is the product of some seriously creative lateral thinking. It feels like something Codemasters cooked up whilst down at the pub, that when it put into practice, found worked better than ever imagined. It takes some of the best attributes of Burnout, SSX, and MotorStorm, but turns the experience on its head with fresh ideas, and some gameplay mechanics borrowed from the world of first-person shooters. It's a gorgeous and intense arcade racer, which is both a throwback and something totally original. There are a few kinks. With one misstep, one or two tracks will throw you away from the action all too easily, and side-swipe takedowns aren't as easy as they should be in certain vehicles. The trick system, too, could be more elaborate. However, overall, Onrush is just a fantastic change of pace. It excels in scratching an itch that you never knew existed. Extremely good fun!

Obviously there I've made a ton of comparisons to Overwatch as this game obviously took inspiration from there. I wanted to talk about another game that I feel it has comparisons to and that's Rocket League. When I played Rocket League in Beta the first time I knew there was something special there, and I got similar feelings playing ONRUSH. It's new and different from your traditional car game in a really unique way. It has some growing to do in terms of what it's future looks like and how to keep a player base engaged, but it's following a good model for that. Hopefully we get a road map of what future updates look like going forward. Check this game out as I think we could be talking about it for a few years.

I had a great time playing ONRUSH and was the first arcade game that I had played in a very long time. It was a great refresher to come back to after years of playing Forza and Sim racers.

ONRUSH tries a number of new things with its team-based driving mechanics, and some aspects of this gamble pay off better than others. Its speed and mechanics are sound, but those looking for something a bit more traditional best approach with caution.

The main features missing from Onrush (traditional racing games modes and deep vehicle customization options) keep it from being truly amazing. What's being offered here is still a solid and memorable experience that should be taken for a spin.

Onrush takes an established genre and drives it down a new path. It creates an experience that is distinctly its own, but that includes a number of flaws. The Burnout-lite experience blends class-based gameplay in a handful of modes, and does so semi-successfully. Onrush has a strong premise at its core. If it adapts over time to focus more on its strengths, it may catch up to the competitive titles it set out to challenge.

In ONRUSH you'll be rewarded with hectic, fact-paced action, ridiculous tracks and a suitably eye-popping set of visuals.

I'm a fan of Arcade racers, the first game I purchased on the Switch was MarioKart and Blur, Split Second and Burnout remakes would be on my list long before Forza. ONRUSH doens't just scratch an itch, it pushes the boundaries, the last time I enjoyed ANY driving game this much was Burnout Paradise and Codemasters have provided us with the best arcade driving game in over a decade.

Wasted potential! The overall impression is dampened by unvaried courses and monotonous action despite having a decent foundation. Therefore, the genre’s revolution is postponed.

OnRush is a different type of racing game, you aren’t trying to come first or be number one, you’re trying to complete set objectives as part of a six-man team. The four modes offer a lot of variety when combined with the many different stages, vehicles, time of day, and seasons. The only downside I had was the randomness of whose cosmetics you receive it the in-game loot crates and the lack of a standard ‘race’ mode. Whether you’re playing it in single player or multiplayer, you will find hours upon hours of entertainment as you smash, crash, boost, and rush your team to victory.

OnRush is a thrill and, appropriately, provides a real adrenaline rush for short play sessions. The lack of depth would have made for a great budget release and perhaps if it had been sold at $20 or $30 it wouldn’t now have empty multiplayer lobbies. As it stands, OnRush is good fun in short bursts and that’s about it.

Arcade racing is making a comeback and Onrush is the perfect dose of over-the-top racing by throwing a wrench into the traditional racing works and watching it explode into something that requires your undivided attention to take out the opposition and going as fast as you can, rather than getting over the finish line.

Praise must be given to the developers at Codemasters for creating something truly original – a “racing” game that’s not about racing at all. It would have been easy for them to create another Motorstorm clone. Instead, they took elements of arguably one of today’s most popular genres, hero shooters, and combined it with fresh thinking of what a vehicular combat game can be, resulting in one of the most fun arcade “racers” on the market. Despite its lean offering and sometimes questionable presentation, Onrush is a fun ride and worth recommending to those looking for a different racing experience.

In the end, it can be said that this game has lots of potential to turn into an engaging and fun experience. But the lack of content and some minor problems keep it from becoming a true high quality product. Maybe as with Driveclub, developers will keep supporting this one too, turning into a better game in time, but even so, its current situation will surely affect the game's success. And considering all this, experiencing this title can be amusing if you manage to get it with a lower price during sales, and keep your expectations down
