Overcooked 2 - Surf 'n' Turf Reviews
Overcooked! 2 – Surf ‘n' Turf is an excellent expansion that adds interesting new mechanics and more than enough content to justify the asking price with only poor difficulty scaling holding it back.
All told, Surf 'n' Turf is a great little expansion, perfect for Overcooked 2 fans who want to feel more challenged. I was worried it was going to be too short or too similar, but none of those fears panned out. The levels are tightly designed and genuinely satisfying to solve. This DLC is peak Overcooked.
As orders and chaos start to pile up, even Overcooked pros will have their hands and heads full. Surf 'n' Turf expands the original game with a wonderfully challenging few hours of content. A worthy follow-up to a great game–get it. You won't be disappointed.
Cheaper than a portion of hipster street food, Overcooked! 2 - ‘Surf ‘N' Turf' provides hours of entertainment and plenty of new variety of levels and dishes to keep your Gordon Ramsay profanity game strong.
Grab a partner and enjoy more of one of the Switch's best multiplayer games!
I'm happy that Overcooked 2 got the DLC it deserved. Even though it's just 12 levels, they present quite a bit of challenge. I still consider Overcooked 2 one of the best local multiplayer games on the Switch, so more of it is definitely not a bad thing.
With creative and challenging new kitchens and many additions that keep the experience fun throughout all 12 stages, Surf ‘n' Turf is a fundamental DLC for Overcooked! 2 fans.

Overcooked 2 - Surf 'n' Turf is a fun little expansion that is also extremely challenging. Despite offering just 12 levels, there is some extra replay value with the incentive to get perfect rank and gain three stars. The increased complexity of the recipes means this is ideal for the dedicated fans, but the performance on Nintendo Switch is slightly disappointing.
Overall, Overcooked! 2 - Surf 'n' Turf is a fantastic dessert for players already full on the core experience. Its island theme is a refreshing aesthetic contrast to the main game, with brighter and more vibrant visuals and a soothing island resort soundtrack. Not only this, it conjures some interesting new mechanics. The managing of barbeques with bellows creates even more time management chaos. Also, the addition of the water pistol, used to extinguish fires and spray the dishes clean from afar, adds a new layer of freedom, teamwork, and versatility. At a meagre price, Surf 'n' Turf brings a lot more to the table than might be expected. It may only be a handful of stages, but they are well-crafted and provide a challenge that fans will salivate over. This sets very high standards for the future inbound DLC of Overcooked 2. Get your island gear on!
Overcooked! 2: Surf N' Turf is an expansion that does a solid job in most areas. That being said, don't expect the same level of effort in terms of story or cooperative gameplay, as the end result may leave you wanting something more.

If you like the Overcooked formula and want more of a challenge I’d say this is well worth the purchase. If not, you won’t find anything new here to win you over.
Overcooked 2: Surf 'n' Turf does what it's asked to do: new levels, increased difficulty and new mechanics. However, there is little content in general and too few new levels in particular. With five or six more levels the expansion would be perfect.

If you’re looking for more Overcooked 2, Surf ‘n’ Turf is that second helping you’re asking for. The kitchens are well designed and the pace is just as tense. It’s got that same flavor as before, but is just a little heartier, satisfying your growing appetite.
Despite this hitch, Surf ‘n’ Turf is easy to recommend to Overcooked fans as long as you are up to the challenge. If you have 3 or more players in your squad, you may find that you are good to go. If you are playing with a single friend or partner, however, be ready for what will inevitably turn out to be a difficult, but rewarding, time.
If you left Overcooked 2 hungry for more than Surf ‘n’ Turf is likely to satisfy that appetite. Tougher, crazier and guaranteed to push your teamwork to its absolute limits, Ghost Town Games’ newest addition is another nourishing slice of co-operative chaos.
