Critic Reviews for KURSK
The creators of KURSK promised us a documentary in a game format with the realistic environment and deep characters, but in the end we received weird and very dull submarine walking simulator with primitive gameplay, poor optimization and a lot of bugs.

Kursk isn't a bad video game, but its many flaws keep us from recommending it.

Jujubee S.A.’s efforts in creating a different narrative style is admirable, and they did a great job in designing a solid atmosphere and a dynamic environment. But when it comes to presenting a video game inspired by real historical events, KURSK falls a little bit short, and besides that the core gameplay is not really entertaining either.

Kursk is a fundamentally flawed video game and its flaws can't be excused by saying it's supposed to be a documentary. Terrible controls, wooden voice acting and short length combined with its high price all make it undesirable. Steer clear from its periscope.

When I wasn’t about to throw up by its canned animations and jerky movement, I found there’s a decent game in here that could have been handled much better. KURSK did well at showing that these Russians were humans, not monsters – and some of them were basically kids. This is an amazingly looking game that’s an unfortunate, buggy mess. That said, KURSK does respect the lives lost, as well as convey the emotions and thoughts of those aboard. And to that end, KURSK succeeds. It’s a shame then, that this sinks under the weight of its own ambitions.
