Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Legacy of the First Blade - Episode 1: Hunted Reviews
Legacy of the First Blade's first episode, Hunted, is a brief but effective foundation for a larger story yet to come.
For a short time, it threatens to say something vital about games, heroism and violence. I take this as a good sign for the future of this form of entertainment, and as a frustrating demonstration of its present limitations.
Legacy of the First Blade is a mostly underwhelming first DLC that has some interesting story information for long term fans of the Assassin's Creed series.
Good first step for this DLC, with a story and characters that are a love letter to Assassin's Creed fans... and other Ubisoft franchises. There's not many new things to see here, but "more Odyseey" is never a bad thing in our book.

Even though it's not the most thrilling side of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Hunted accomplishes what it sets out to do. It's an introductory chapter, one that establishes a new conflict at the origins of the Assassin's Creed lore. Although reserved, Hunted manages to be plenty entertaining. More importantly, it constructs a compelling foundation for the rest of Legacy of the First Blade. If the latter two-thirds can build on the first chapter, we're in for one hell of a story.
I enjoyed what Legacy of the Blade’s first two episodes have to offer. Whilst narratively there’s no real freedom of choice, the opportunity to find and kill cultists however you see fit seems to be an evergreen gameplay mechanic, and who can resist finding even more loot to dress your character in?
Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Legacy of the First Blade - Episode 1: Hunted is a solid starting point for what could turn out to be an interesting story. While the DLC doesn't bring anything new to the table in terms of gameplay variation, it does provide a well made slice of open world adventuring, complete with some thoughtful character moments. It goes without saying, but if you're a fan of Odyssey, then you're going to enjoy Hunted.
With this new Assassin's Creed Odyssey storyline, the player is pleased to meet those who are not the Assassins yet, but still use their hidden blade. This very short DLC is filled with interesting characters, but the lack of brand new mechanics at this stage should let you wait until the release of all the three episodes to buy this DLC.

Legacy of the First Blade is pretty short, lacks content and ends just when it starts to get exciting, and unless you are a die-hard fan of the series, I suggest you to wait until the release of the next DLC to see if it worth the shot.

Hunted is a strong start for the Legacy of the First Blade portion of the Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Season Pass. I’m intrigued to peel back some of Darius’ layers and learn more about The Order of the Ancients pursuit of the Misthios. Amazingly, Hunted has made me want to play even more of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey which, after a hundred or so hours, is quite an impressive feat.
A new opening act that feels a bit out of place from the entire narrative and leaves a strange taste in your mouth. Still, it is fun and broadens the horizons of the Greek-centric world. I just wished it wasn't so unsatisfying.
