Worbital plays a bit like a Worms in space, minus the turn-based sequences. Even though blowing up planets in epic space wars is a plus, the lack of depth in battle structures and mechanics make this one better suited to short play sessions. The campaign mode, although a nice addition for single players, has dialogue segments that go longer than necessary.

The game has some of the most life-like physics seen for missiles and munitions. This is about as close as you can currently get to building and commandeering your own Death Star!

Worbital's features mean that it'll take some time before players get acclimated to it. Once you get used to the gameplay, you'll find it to be a perfect blend of RTS and artillery shooter, with some gravity effects thrown in. It's a shame that the online community is practically nonexistent, but the presence of local multiplayer and the ability to earn currency while playing against friends or bots ensures that it isn't a completely dead game once the campaign has been completed. If you're looking for something different and fun, give Worbital a shot.

Worbital is one of those hidden gems on Steam that most people will not find unless they are looking for it. Really, that’s a shame. Its unique blend of RTS and trajectory gameplay provides an experience that most gamers will find challenging…and fun.

Despite some balance issues, and problems of the game running away from the player very easily, there's actually some good, basic fun here. Playing different factions, trying different weapons, and ultimately, simply trying to be the last person in the solar system is fun. With a friend or two, multiplayer can be a fun romp, and the campaign was oddly alluring despite its ultimately simple premise.

Worbital has a polish that isn't common in indie games. Everything about the game's design is so tightly knit, I'm not sure it could be easily added on to without breaking its porcelain frame. Its a game where every piece has a purpose and its difficult to imagine how it could be better.

How long will Worbital last? Well, how long is a piece of string? It is most certainly a game where you can lose hours and hours taking on friends and foe. It’s chaotic and you definitely will enjoy every moment you spend playing the game. I keep diving back into Worbital just to get a taste of planetary carnage. Overall Team Jolly Roger have created what i consider to be an instant classic. So much so that we recently started a new series over on the youtube channel and this was the game we played first. Worbital brings space battles to the smaller screen and definitely lives up to its galactic aims.

Great concept, awesome execution, all Worbital lacks is enough players to enjoy the joys of space destruction.
