Zombie Army 4: Dead War Reviews
An entertaining rollercoaster ride of horror and co-op zombie slaughter. It doesn’t really bring anything truly new to the table, but that shouldn’t put you off as it undoubtedly provides some of the best fun you can have killing zombies alone or with friends right now.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War offers fun, mindless zombie slaughtering co-op excitement without pretending it's anything else. An absolute blast with friends, it's brutal, disturbing, and you get to kill Nazi zombies. What's not to love?
It's fair to say that Zombie Army 4: Dead War won't be winning an award for originality any time soon, but it's hard to deny the simplistic joys of placing a well aimed explosive bullet into the crusty cranium of a distant, slow-moving cannibal corpse.
Zombie Army 4 offers straightforward, enjoyable chaos that might provide a great distraction until the deluge of new games later this year.
This new entry into the Zombie Army series will have you planted in your seat for hours of entertainment and enjoyment.
Zombies and Hitler are generally two things that most of the people dislike, to put it mildly, and would love to kill them the first chance they got. Well, Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a perfect game then, because it allows the players to do it while having a happy banter over the microphone. It is just like Zombie Army Trilogy, but better!

This game is made for co-op play and I don’t think it would have been as much fun on my own. From screaming run or begging for someone to pick me up the laughter was always in abundance. Tight areas that made it damn near impossible to spray everything in sight kept the tension up along with a downed buddy in larger areas way away from everyone else. Zombie Army 4 looks highly improved and the gunplay is spot on. I don’t recall many complaints from the actual guns themselves just maybe more options. Some of the minor glitches of the game hold it back and the lack of variety with bosses was disappointing. The horde mode was quite different from the campaign as in the way it played and I felt it hurt the overall game. However, there is a lot to discover about the game and that might sound odd when speaking about a zombie game. This isn’t some major story-driven game, it’s about kicking zombie ass and it does it pretty well. Just make sure you bring a friend to the fight.
The Zombie Army games are a guilty pleasure, but they’re a pleasure nonetheless.
Need a fun, atmospheric, campy, and sometimes humorous co-op zombie shooter? Zombie Army 4: Dead War is pretty much a no-brainer.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War delivers all the archetypal aspects of zombie, lore from its Haitian folklore origins, novels, and iconic films. The storyline and gameplay have a classic B-movie vibe, and Rebellion gives the audience what they would want:gore, humour, and satisfying kills. The studio has taken the series to the next level with tons of undead, missions, and areas to explore. Even if this game is a player’s first experience of the Zombie Army franchise, it is a great title to start with. Rebellion has perfected the zombie shooter, and the titanic zombie shark transforms the game into somewhat of a masterpiece.
I very much enjoyed my time spent with Zombie Army 4: Dead War. As a bit of a horror buff, the game’s goofy, self-aware narrative was a joy to blast my way through. And when it comes to online multiplayer, its cooperative carnage is easy to pick up, and nearly impossible to put down thanks to its addicting scoring system, excellent stage design, and a fun, customizable Horde mode. Still, if you’ve had your fill co-op of zombie shooter like Left 4 Dead, World War Z, and Black Ops 4: Zombies, I’m not sure the game will do enough to rekindle your love for the genre.
I actually played Zombie Army 4: Dead War enough that my hand began to hurt at one point because I couldn't put it down. It's delightfully gory and the gameplay is incredibly fun.Playing solo was fun, but it improved even further in co-op with a good group. I recommend this game in general, but I recommend it even more if you can convince some friends to pick it up at the same time.
Despite those nitpicks, this a winning formula, and while those looking for an Oscar-worthy narrative or genre-defining mechanics might not be satisfied, those looking for a rewarding, addictive, and above all fun rollercoaster ride will be over the moon. Sniping zombies has never been more fun.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War won us over with its simplicity.

Zombie Army finally has it's own face as the graphics are a lot better than its predecessors and there are a lot of new elements. You get to fight zombies in new areas, battle new enemies and get the best experience when slaughtering zombies with some good old-fashioned co-op gameplay. The only real downside is the reduced possibility for sniping.

Zombie Army 4 isn’t ripping up any trees in terms of originality, but it’s the ultimate version of the franchise’s best features. After all, what’s more satisfying than destroying Nazi zombies in stylish, violent fashion?
Especially in co-op, fun zombie shooting with a great atmosphere and some great innovations.

Zombie Army 4 improves in every way. It adds variety (campaign takes place in different cities with lots of secrets and objectives), deepens gameplay and it is extremely fun to play (solo or coop mode). Sadly, it still shows some technical issues.

Higher framerate and 4K resolution improve the experience of killing zombies, either solo or in coop multiplayer, but even in next gen consoles, we found some technical issues and lots of microtransactions.

Zombie Army 4 does what it says on the tin! In nine different levels, you send heaps of undead underground, which is child's play thanks to the simple gameplay. What becomes boring solo over time unfolds its full strength in coop. But if you are looking for more variety, you will not find it, because the name says it all: Dead War!
