Even in its current state, the game is still fantastic. It has great combat and a solid story mixed with humor and a super high replay value that will keep you coming back for more.

Wasteland 3 is a top-notch RPG experience, with an highly compelling turn-based combat system and a well designed multi-path plot. It's not exempt of flaws, mainly in the technical area, and the lack of an Italian localization was quite disappointing, but it's a definitely recommended game.

Overall, Wasteland 3 is both a massive improvement on its predecessor and a fantastic game its own right. It’s filled with good writing, interesting quests and deliciously difficult turn-based combat.

In a world where choices affect so many outcomes, Wasteland 3 emphasizes the phrase “choose wisely.” Your outcomes will greatly differ depending on how you complete main and side missions, as well as how you use the many skills and attributes to fill out your ultimate Ranger squad. Wasteland 3 is a remarkable game that gives you tons of meaty content that you can spend hours and hours with.

The gameplay itself is simple enough that you’ll know exactly what you’re doing within minutes. The controls and grid system battles make it seem very familiar to those who enjoy this type of game and also welcoming enough for those less accustomed to this genre.

Wasteland 3 is a credit to the revival of CRPGs in a time where mainstream audiences think picking a perk and slamming one button is the ‘RPG experience’.

Wasteland 3 could be an entertaining game if not for its nonstop softlocks, disappearing items, and idiotic pathfinding (I’ll get into that later), but these problems stood in the way of my enjoyment while chipping away at my patience in a way few other games ever have.

Wasteland third entry has lots of great role playing, turn based action and decision making, only overshadowed by some technical issues.

Wasteland 3 is an absolute blast to play, with its deep and involving story complimented by some wonderful gameplay mechanics that’ll keep players hooked in for hours on end. There really is a whole lot of things to see within its rich world, and honestly, discovering more about the narrative, its characters, and the events occurring behind the scenes kept me utterly enthralled in the adventure. I loved it. There are a few issues that do prevent Wasteland 3 from striving towards CRPG perfection, but it’s still a fantastic release in its own right and one that fans of the genre simply won’t want to miss out on.

Wasteland 3 is one of the more pleasant surprises of this year. It's not simply a tribute to the old-school gaming, but a great game in itself. The balance between old-school and modern mechanics is just right and feels pretty fresh.

Wasteland 3 has everything you want from an apocalyptic RPG. A story you influence yourself. A dueling system that will keep you entertained after 50 hours. But mostly a sense of humour that fits nicely into the war-ravaged world. So if you can forgive the game a long load or the occasional buggy, then maybe the game is exactly what you were looking for and we think 9 out of 10 is a grade really deserved.

When we think of post-apocalyptic games, the Fallout series is the one that most people think of. With its (now) first-person gameplay, hunting down Ghouls and Mutants, to collecting loot and doing quests for its quite often bizarre cast of characters. However Fallout owes a lot of its gameplay to a franchise that’s been quietly hiding in the background waiting for its time to re-emerge from its slumber.

Wasteland 3 is an excellent RPG by keeping the spirit of the original, while also borrowing from Xcom. While the load times get in the way sometimes, there is no denying that you need to play this game if you love a great story with an edge.

The negatives are not enough to really affect how I ended up feeling about Wasteland 3. It’s a far superior game to its predecessor, and I really liked that too despite its many issues. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in exploring, fighting, tinkering, and more in this world. It’s not afraid to let you figure things out for yourself and do things your way, but it isn’t impenetrable for newcomers either. Throw in a co-op mode that doesn’t overly dilute what makes playing solo so enjoyable, but actually enhances the experience, and you have a highly engrossing dose of silly, violent RPG goodness.
