For as iconic and influential as Cowboy Bebop is as an anime franchise, unlike One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto or even recently, Demon Slayer, it doesn't have any notable video games to its name.
In fact, there are only two video games in the anime's entire history, both of which were never released outside of Japan, and only one of which can be considered "good," or at least as good as anime video games tend to get. But thanks to the work of one dedicated fan, gamers can now access Cowboy Bebop: Tsuioku no Serenade, a PlayStation 2-era game that had never been made accessible before.
As first shared on social media, Tsuioku no Serenade has been translated entirely to English, including its text, graphics and credits. It's available on GitHub, though we'll abstain from linking to any ISOs.
Like other anime games, there's a heavy emphasis on combat, and players can control any one of Spike, Faye or Jet, with Ed providing some helpful advice. As for its plot, the game features an entirely original story that is as follows:
