Nacon, the publisher behind games like Ravenswatch and RoboCop: Rogue City, has announced that it's filing for insolvency, with the announcement coming just days after the company revealed its latest Nacon Connect showcase.
In a corporate notice on its official website, Nacon says the "long investment cycles and significant transformations" of the current gaming industry have contributed to a need for the "rapid implementation of a financial restructuring".
As such, Nacon is filing for insolvency, which, in case you're not aware, is a state companies enter into when they can't pay their debts or when they have more liabilities than assets. In short, it means Nacon isn't doing so hot as a company right now.
According to Nacon, the aim of filing for insolvency is to "assess all possible solutions to ensure the sustainability of [its] activity" and to "protect employees and preserve jobs" during renegotiations with its creditors.
This news comes just a couple of days after Nacon revealed its latest Nacon Connect presentation, which is set to air on March 4th and which will feature information about upcoming games from the publisher.
Games we'll get to see during the presentation include Lovecraftian horror titles The Mound: Omen...
