This one is for the nostalgic FPS fans out there! It seems Valve has finally listened to the community’s pleas and brought back the original Counter-Strike: Global Offensive era.
In a surprising (and also silent) move, the game simply reappeared on Steam with a shiny, new page this Tuesday, March 3, without any prior announcement.
This means that players can now download the first CS:GO as a standalone application. Before this news, the original version of the game was only accessible as a “Legacy” branch tucked away within the Counter-Strike 2 settings. It was a bit of a hassle to set up, for sure, but it looks like those days are finally over.
