Pokemon Pokopia has a lot of systems and discoveries, which makes sense given the nature of the game. It's all about building habitats and discovering Pokemon, so Pokemon website Serebii did what it did best and documented as much as it possibly could before launch and after. What it managed to collect was quite impressive, though all that work was quickly descended upon by an app made by (presumably) a Pokopia fan called Pokopedia, which has been accused of lifting the work to profit from itself.
The app was brought into the spotlight by Serebii owner Joe Merrick, who claims that small mistakes he made in his work were also present on Pokopedia, and that the images he used were also used in the app too. He eventually went on to say that his work being "lifted and, in the case of the app, used to make money" hurt him.
Understandably, Merrick's work on Serebii over the years has earned him a fairly loyal fanbase, and that fanbase obviously won't have been pleased to see a completely different app reportedly pinching his work to profit from.
