CD Projekt Red is raising the Cyberpunk 2077 minimum PC system requirements yet again, this time in order to end support for Windows 10. Players who are unable to upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft's operating system still have several options if they want to continue playing Cyberpunk 2077 on Windows 10.
CDPR previously raised the minimum system requirements for its open-world RPG on two occasions: in February 2022 and September 2023. The former change discontinued support for Windows 7, while the latter involved a more comprehensive overhaul affecting storage, RAM, CPU, and VRAM hardware requirements for Cyberpunk 2077.
Modern hardware benchmarks, these games deliver stunning visuals that only high-end PCs will be able to handle.
The latest change to the dystopian RPG's PC system requirements was quietly announced on CDPR's Cyberpunk 2077 support pages in late May 2026. According to the developer's official notice, Windows 11 is the minimum required OS version for the game following Microsoft's end of support for Windows 10. While the notice uses the original end-of-life date of October 14, 2025, Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU) will officially be available until October 13, 2026. Regardless, CDPR will no longer be testing...
