During the latest Nintendo Direct, the console giant finally confirmed that Ocarina of Time is being "reborn." And while the teaser was incredibly brief, only showing us a vague mural and Link lying asleep in bed, this is Zelda we're talking about — fans have spent decades deciphering confusing and incompatible timelines to concoct all kinds of theories. Even the smallest details are enough to spark conversation, and this little snippet was no exception.
As pointed out by u/tunkerdunker, the new patterns on Link's tunic closely resemble those on the Forest Dweller items in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, which appears to be a purposeful design choice to more closely tie the remake to modern entries in the series. This doesn't mean that Ocarina of Time suddenly takes place in the same continuity as BOTW or TOTK, but instead that Nintendo appears to be making a conscious decision to make the connection between the Kokiri and Koroks more deliberate and seamless.
