Activision is finally bringing Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 to PS5, complete with multiplayer and their iconic Zombies modes. However, these aren’t remasters—they’re straight ports. Despite being over a decade old, both games are expected to cost a total of $80, and that’s without DLC.
As spotted by CharlieIntel, each game received price updates on the Xbox store ahead of their PlayStation 5 debut. They now cost $40 each, while individual DLC packs have dropped to $10, and the Black Ops 2 Season Pass down to $30 — cosmetic personalization packs, however, are completely free. So, if you want the complete experience for both titles, you're looking at spending around $160.
To put into perspective just how expensive that is for two games that are between 14–16 years old, the Vault Editions for both Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and the upcoming Modern Warfare 4 retail at $99.99 each. Expectedly, the community is already at Defcon 1.
"Having to buy DLC in 2026 for 14+ year old Black Ops 1 and 2 is criminal," @ModernWarzone replied. "All DLC should come with a new purchase of the game."
"If this is true, then I'm 0% interested,"...
