It was probably evident throughout the review but I'm not particularly a fan of party games; maybe this is because they're often intrinsically local multiplayer dependent and getting a group of friends together in the same place for a night of gaming goodness has become more and more difficult as the responsibilities and tufts of ear hair start to accumlate alongside the years.
I really do not get too excited over tycoon style games, and this fishing simulator is a lot like a tycoon fishing game which is fine and well because it is presented surprisingly well. I love going out on the ship and hunting for a good fishing grounds.
As it is… I highly recommend Knockout League! The cartoony graphics and crazy characters work well and allow you to have fun pretending you're a real boxer without ever getting hurt.
Making the most of the controllers and putting magic in your hands, it's hard not to feel very mystical with The Wizards.
Introducing a third-person shooter into the Sword Art Online universe means Fatal Bullet isn't your typical fantasy game. Thanks to the Unreal Engine 4; it has some polish, but uninspiring environments and generic gameplay mean that only hardcore fans of the SAO series will get the most out of Bandai Namco's latest effort.
Apex Construct is heavily flawed, with a fun and fairly precise shooting mechanic unfortunately not enough to make up for the dismal movement controls and derivative narrative. Simple tasks like switching out inventory items or hacking consoles are made enjoyable and, when everything's working in your favour, the battles can contend with the best of the best of VR shooters, but everything quickly falls apart as soon as you're forced to move about with any degree of accuracy.
There are promises of patches from the developers which is encouraging, as to really get hooked the game will need an extra level of resources to keep you challenged. The setting and mood created by the audio and graphics are to be applauded and this experience certainly delivers a neat, challenging, but somewhat short, survival management game.
Rad Rodgers is a competent 90's run-and-gun platformer revival, despite some frustrating gameplay elements.
With the advent of VR games, I assumed that the best experiences would, logically, be those with a first-person perspective, and as such wasn't all that interested in Moss when it was first announced. After all, how could a third-person platformer be any good when you can play games where you literally inhabit the main character?
Baffling AI behaviour, dull environments and a stupid story mean that even as a standalone survival game, Metal Gear Survive fails on too many levels. There are far better games that deserve your money. For example, if you want a complete survival experience, then ARK: Survival Evolve or 7 days to Die are better options on the PS4.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance delivers on its ambitious promise for a realistic, grounded open-world medieval role-playing game, with engaging and complex gameplay systems, weighty and tactical combat and an interesting main story slightly let down by a lack of polish and technical issues on launch.
As the first expansion to Civilization VI, Rise and Fall introduces a number of unique mechanics to the classic Civilization formula that significantly enhances the gameplay.
If you put a good amount of time, effort, and have an amazing eye sight, then you might be able to get some good results from the game. It does have an unfinished vibe and there are a few bugs that need a lot of fixing so hopefully the developers will be able to fix this soon (even though they have already started on Shoppe Keep 2).
Monster Hunter: World is the best entry in the long-running action RPG series to-date, accessible for both new players and returning fans expecting the in-depth gameplay systems and rewarding hunt/craft/explore loop we all know and love.
Bayonetta on the Nintendo Switch is a very fun experience on this console and it feels like a bad 70's action movie and the story, characters and quirkiness of the gameplay is pure ingenious.
It feels like a bad 70's action movie and the story, characters and quirkiness of the gameplay is pure ingenious. Even after all these years, Bayonetta 2 on the Nintendo 2 is still a very fun experience with a great gaming engine, exceptional graphics and a female protagonist that will make you laugh and also give you a healthy dose of controller rage.

At the moment there's a Resistance event running, with 24/7 moshpits for the DLC maps, unique supply drops and featured modes like Prop Hunt available for a limited time, so the community is pretty heavily active across the entire game at the moment, making it an ideal time to dive back in and take advantage of all the double XP.
An ambition cinematic outing that just doesn't have that much to offer.
Whatever moral fibre Lost Sphear had seems to have been 'lost' by the immaculate moon.
