Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence – Ascension is a hell of a game built upon an already solid framework. This blows the already great Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII out of the water, and is an essential purchase for anyone who enjoys complex strategy games, or has a passing interest in Japanese history.
Excellent presentation alone doesn't make a great game, and without a real hook to pull players into the experience, Small Radios Big Televisions feels like a teaser for something that could have been much more than the sum of its parts.
With a broad selection of maps, dozens of weapons, and an engaging leveling system, Killing Floor 2 demands the attention of anyone with at least a passing interesting in online shooters.
Despite the myriad issues that crop up to mar the experience, when everything is going off without a hitch The Last Guardian is a breathtaking adventure that deserves to be played. It's just a shame the many beautiful moments found within this package are buried under some antiquated and ill-conceived mechanics that make much of this 12-hour journey feel more like work than play. Still, if you're willing to weather the storm in order to witness one of the more touching tales to ever grace the medium, The Last Guardian is worth adding to your collection.
When all is said and done, Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- is a great addition to Steam's stable of fighting games.

The Fate series itself is a combination of strange things end up being cohesive, and this game is no exception to that rule. Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force provides enjoyable gameplay, memorable characters, and a branching story good enough to warrant multiple playthroughs – and hey, isn’t that all that matters?
Sometimes I felt when I died it was completely my fault and other times I’d blame the odd bounces and ship’s movements. Something just felt off, but only sometimes. The game’s bugs would also stop my flow and cause unneeded frustration. Overall, it’s a fun title but only in short bursts.
This could have been a truly great game. Instead, it’s some truly great ideas, weighed down by a lot of bilge and barnacles.
Sure, the Princess Maker formula has enough charm that you might be able to find entertainment in this game for an hour, maybe two, before you realize how repetitive and meaningless everything is.
If you can overlook the small roster and annoying to defeat boss encounters, you will find that Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is a fine experience and a must have for anyone who is a fan of the series as a whole.
Without question, Sniper Elite 4 marks a high point for Rebellions’ stealth-shooter series. The game’s excellent main campaign provides a great mix of stealth action and the franchise’s trademark sniping shenanigans.
Shift Happens isn’t a bad co-op experience, not at all. But its modes make it a frustrating one. The game sports solid puzzle design consistently, and couch co-op is a blast (albeit a sometimes antagonistic one, though all’s fair in love and war).
As it is, Desync is just another poorly-designed FPS that, for all its bells and whistles, requires little more strategy than W+M1 and learning the cheap spawn locations.
This won’t convert you to the cult of old-school CRPGs if you’re not already a fan. If you are a fan however, there’s an entire plane’s worth of meaty roleplaying goodness for you to sink your teeth into (especially in the meat prison).
I think Nintendo missed out on a perfect pack-in game opportunity and a great way to introduce gamers to what is new about the Joy-Con and the system as a whole.
Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey provides a great example of how a game can provide an entirely fresh experience merely by shifting around the mechanics that it already had, as opposed to piling on new ones.
If you’re going into Dying: Reborn VR fresh and without knowing there is a separate, full game available on the PlayStation Store, you’ll be oblivious to the fact that this game is not finished.
