Patapon Remastered is actually the furthest thing from the well-deserved celebration of a glorious little cult: due to an insane amount of input lag, the game in its current state is simply not only an unplayable broken mess, but also a true offense to the immediate and unique gameplay that made the original so incredibile.

The second expansion of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn makes a full center and manages to make even more interesting a game that stoically resists the passage of time and business models. Stormblood in fact loads on his shoulders the thankless task not only of adding new areas and contents to the already alive Eorzea, but of passing a level that must equalize both the differences between the various jobs, and reduce the gap between those who can devote a lot of time to it and those who can not.

8.6 / 10.0 - Splatoon 2
Jul 18, 2017

Rather than a full blown sequel, Splatoon 2 frankly feels more like an (impressive) extention of the original episode, especially if you've been splatting around since 2015. Players of the Wii U chapter will truly feel at home, with a sense of familiarity that will certainly replace the stunning surprise effect that made the franchise so unique, while the newcomers will have the pleasure to experience one of the best and most original shooters ever created (one the perfectly embodies the so called "Nintendo Difference"). That said, with more courage and better online options this sequel would have been even more impressive.

Yonder is a game based on crafting and exploration, it has clever mechanics, but it's never exciting. It's a good starting point for the developer team, which will, eventually, express its creativity in a better way.

6.5 / 10.0 - Antihero
Jul 13, 2017

Despite some flaws, and peaks of excessive difficulty or easiness, Antihero is an enjoyable game. It's not particularly excellent, but it can be a nice title for turn-based strategy fans.

8.2 / 10.0 - GoNNER
Jul 12, 2017

If you're looking for an honest - yet brutal - challenge and you're not afraid of getting lost in a quirky and abstract dimension, dive in and join the water drop Ikk in his procedural adventure: monsters, sweat, lots of swear words and many satisfactions will be waiting for you in this fierce platformer/shooter hybrid with a roguelike structure (one that actually works really well with the Nintendo Switch philosophy).

5 / 10.0 - Formula Fusion
Jul 12, 2017

Every aspect of Formula Fusion is cheap and forgettable. This racing game sci-fi, made by R8 Games, isn't able to reach the quality of Wipeout or Fast RMX.

The remastered version of Final Fantasy XII is the perfect opportunity to rediscover one of the most underestimated chapters of the series. With new gameplay mechanics and some graphic improvements, The Zodiac Age is the best edition of Final Fantasy XII without any doubt.

Inspired by masterpieces like Syndicate and GTA, Tokyo 42 is both fascinating and imperfect. This frenetic shooter is set in a futuristic metropolis, dominated by violence and pop-culture.

Ultra Despair Girls is a spin-off of the famous Danganronpa series. The game tries to mix a third person shooter with a visual novel: this remastered version for PS4 doesn't change the gameplay of the original one and the graphic improvements are not very remarkable.

5 / 10.0 - AereA

AereA is a dungeon crawler in which the graphic design is inspired by real musical instruments: despite this original idea, the game offers nothing but redundant gameplay mechanics and a boring adventure to the player.
