9.3 / 10.0 - Half-Life: Alyx
Mar 25, 2020

Half-Life: Alyx is the new benchmark for future VR products. More generally, it is a magnificent game, the worthy heir of an immortal saga: an adventure that has nothing to envy to those episodes that have contributed to mark the history of gaming.

9.3 / 10.0 - Forza Motorsport 6
Sep 8, 2015

Not only does Forza Motorsport 6 fill in the content gaps of its predecessor, it also goes far beyond that. The driving model is refreshed by the renewed simulation of the contact between tires and asphalt, which has a positive impact on the whole experience, the wet races are sensational and the night ones a pleasant addition, the career sufficiently varied and long-lived, the online vast and solid as always.

9.3 / 10.0 - Pillars of Eternity
Mar 26, 2015

Pillars of Eternity is the definitive signal of a return to the origins of electronic role-playing and establishes, paired with Divinity, a benchmark with which all products from now on will have to clash. Between the two which one to choose? Both, if you have two hundred hours to devote to us. Alternatively, we are faced with two different aspects of the same coin. While Divinity is all gameplay, curious interactions and puzzles a bit weird but always interesting, Pillars does not seek innovation and prefers a classic approach, succeeding in the enterprise like no other has succeeded so far. The plot, the social interaction between the protagonists, the characterization of an entire world down to the smallest detail are rare and precious values, difficult to find if not in sporadic and superb equally successful productions (we mention Dishonored, Human Revolution and World of Warcraft, to make the idea).

9.3 / 10.0 - Cuphead
Apr 18, 2019

After the well-deserved success achieved on Xbox One and PC, Cuphead arrives from the parts of the Kyoto House with an exciting conversion: the already rich Nintendo Switch catalog is enriched with a prodigious instant classic ready to find a second youth where it is usually the stainless Super Mario to dictate the law. An unmissable masterpiece a couple of seasons ago and equally indispensable today, which deserves to be discovered for the first time by a new audience, or found in a walking version by those who had already adored it.

XCOM 2: War of the Chosen is the "definitive" experience of XCOM 2, which not only hypothetically closes the circle of the development of the strategic sci-fi, but again raises the bar of excellence in the genre. The care taken in technical optimizations and in inserting content that does not unbalance the delicate balance of the challenge, shows how the developer has been sensitive to the requests of the community and has kept an eye on the development of the modding scene, adopting in his own way the features present in some of the most popular mods.

Dragon Age: Inquisition represents a remarkable show of strength by Bioware, which not only manages to give new luster to the saga, but proposes an innovative and very personal tactical management for role-playing video games. Although starting from well-known bases, the combat system proves to be original in its ability to alternate action and strategic aspects, effectively adapting to different types of audiences and platforms.

9.2 / 10.0 - Dishonored 2
Nov 12, 2016

Dishonored 2 does not stray from the path marked four years ago by his predecessor. And that's great. Dishonored 2 recovers the old philosophy and approach, then exalt the gameplay quality, expands the freedom, blows up the level design. Built with art and patience, Dishonored 2 is an endless source of surprises.

Feb 20, 2017

Guerrilla Games did it! Horizon: Zero Dawn is one of the best Open-World of this generation. It's a wonderful Action-RPG set in a vast and unforgettable universe, with a solid (but conventional) plot and - most of all - a challenging gameplay.

9.2 / 10.0 - Hades
Aug 10, 2021

Hades was an undisputed masterpiece eleven months ago on PC and Nintendo Switch, and it is also confirmed as such in PlayStation and Xbox format. The edition intended for the Sony and Microsoft platforms is in all ways identical to the original, with just appreciable improvements in terms of resolution on the most recent machines, where the glance of 4K is noticeable in exalting the theatrical staging of an ancient Greece very different from the canons and full of personality.
