7 / 10.0 - F1 2015
Aug 21, 2015

Codemasters' latest F1 title may be construed as feeling a little rushed - perhaps pushed out from under the rug as the team focus production on DiRT Rally, but there's still a lot of fun to be had in this title, even if it's not a whole world of difference from the previous outings and the brief frame-rate issues.

7 / 10.0 - Funk of Titans
Aug 19, 2015

A few more levels and a little more challenge wouldn't go amiss, but Funk of Titans is a solid endless runner that is well worth your time.

With some awesome ideas and a new 'bike', it doesn't disappoint on many levels, though is priced a little high and the Awesome Adventure mode is much too short for the advertising to have focussed solely on it.

7.5 / 10.0 - Victor Vran
Jul 31, 2015

A rock-solid and fun dungeon crawler that should appease any fans of the genre. Don't expect any serious surprises though, as most of Victor Vran is just rehashed territory.

A Matter of Family could of been so much more. They had the opportunity to bring Batgirl to life and delve deeper into her history as Batgirl before it was torn away by the Joker, instead they gave us a small set piece in the Arkham universe with her playable as the gimmick.

The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter will have you thinking about it after the credits roll. It's not a perfect package or a long one, but the short time you spend in Red Creek Valley will be mesmerising.

2D side-scrollers certainly aren't at the top of everyone's favourite genre. But a fun, new approach, a fantastic concept and beautiful design might well see Tembo become a mascot for the future.

The best episode so far, with a lot of problems ironed out and double the playtime added. Dark Room will not disappoint any but the hardest to please fans of Life is Strange.

To paraphrase Roger Ebert, this game doesn't scrape the bottom of the barrel. This game isn't the bottom of the barrel. This game isn't below the bottom of the barrel. This game doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with barrels!

While the table appears barren, looks can be deceiving and it is just as intricate as any other you may have sunk hours into previously. It might not be highly innovative, but it doesn't stop it being another highly addictive addition by those pinball wizards over at Zen.

A repetitive storyline and lack of complexity can be forgiven due to the love shown by the creators of this fun fighter.

5 / 10.0 - 0RBITALIS
Jul 20, 2015

Fans of the genre might garner some enjoyment from 0RBITALIS, but a quick descent into a trial and error approach undermines the intricacies of the gameplay, resulting in a fairly bland and repetitive experience. 0RBITALIS' aesthetics are on point, but they alone are not enough to keep me playing for anything more than a few minutes at a time.

7 / 10.0 - Godzilla

For a game about big things, it's kinda short. Great classic action, lots to do, but not much of it.

A simple, but fun, FPS that could have been so much better. The dinosaurs are certainly fun, but it won't take long for you to grow tired of the game at large.

7 / 10.0 - MotoGP 15
Jul 12, 2015

I may have never ridden a motorcycle or have a clue how any of the mechanical intricacies work, but that certainly didn't stop me from having a whole lot of fun with MotoGP 15. The dips in graphics and steep learning curve can be more than made up for in what is a solid MotoGP simulator and perfect alternative for those bored of racing cars.

6.5 / 10.0 - The Masterplan
Jul 10, 2015

Even though The Masterplan will appeal to some due to its tight mechanics, cool setting and unique style, I can't help but look at it and think about what could have been with a few tweaks: a truly stand out indie title.

Hard but satisfying – if you put in the time to get good, that is.

A foray into the silly, ridiculous, and formulaic, Van Helsing delivers B-movie cheese on a bland action RPG cracker.

It has detective bits, it has crime fighting bits and it has creepy bits - just like a good Batman comic. Playing this makes you realise how much work goes into being Batman, the focus and commitment that Bruce Wayne shows, his willingness to do whatever it takes to save the day... It's not a perfect game, but it's a perfect Batman game.
