The appeal of the Micro Machines franchise is lowered down by the lack of a championship mode and the few cars and tracks available. Everyone who was, after so many years, waiting for a great new game of the saga, will be left disappointed.

The premises (a blind character, a creepy house, an evil spirit) were good, but Perception falls short as survival horror and as an intriguing walking simulator.

GoNNER is a competent even if sometimes frustrating shoot'em up/platform hybrid.

An excellent and accurate remaster that lacks only of a couple of fix at the gameplay mechanics to truly shine.

Valkyria Revolution is a rather canonical JRPG, seeking its own identity within the SEGA gaming universe, succeeding only in part. The combat system is unreliable, and its hybrid nature does not fully exploit the interesting ideas of which the game is still dotted. The Media.Vision game stands out for the topics dealt with, the great atmosphere and the extraordinary OST. It is a shame that the heart of gameplay is not as powerful.

Hover is a good tribute to the Dreamcast era, but it lacks of personality and style to define the evolution of the genre.

An ambitious and brave survival horror that suffers of technical limits, as well as of an asynchronous gameplay that goes too far in favor of Jason.

A charming game with lacks that prevent it from keeping up with the current competition.

Nice rendition of a surprisingly complex game. It could become tedious soon: approach with caution.

After the 2016 surprisingly versatile and breezy Valentino Rossi: The Game, the series returns to rest on its laurels, offering the usual officially licensed contents, the traditional online and offline modes, plus a new yet slow Management Career powered by the efficient yet ancient proprietary graphic engine. No Rossi, no party.

Get Even uses the FPS formula to deliver a touching and deep story. Despite some technical failings, the narrative and the sound make the trip worth to be made.

Nex Machina is a great follow-up to Resogun, even if it's a different game. Another masterpiece in the Twin-Stick Shooter genre for Housemarque.

Switching to Unreal Engine 4, MXGP improves its physics in relation with the always-changing track morphology, while graphics looks too muddy even for a motocross game. Enjoyable yet improvable.

Mages of Mystralia is a nice action-adventure-GdR to play and to see, thanks in particular to its great magic system and its mix of genres.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind is a solid, well written and fascinating expansion of an imperfect game. If you loved the original Morrowind and you wanna come back to those lands, characters and lore, you won't be disappointed.

As far as space simulators go, Starpoint Gemini Warlords boasts a lot of good things: a wide selection of ships, trading, combat, RPG and strategy elements. While the control system can be overwhelming, true fans of the genre will look past that and truly enjoy the experience.

The innovative and tight simulation of the latest DiRT: Rally renews the traditional and relaxed arcade mood of the long-established DiRT series in a game that successfully blends the two approaches. DiRT 4 is no revolution, just an excellent recap.

Behind its wacky (and absolutely adorable) cartoony appearance, with its peculiar colorful appeal, its delightful cast of characters and its rubbery animations that somehow remind you of Splatoon, ARMS has the heart - and the brain - of a pure-bread fighting game. Deep, engaging, fascinating, fast and far from trivial, this beat'em up shows however one huge merit above its many undeniable virtues: it's a new, completely unique take on the genre, one that will be enjoyable for both fans and newcomers. Another hit for the Big N, scored with a surprising boomerang-punch.

Formula Fusion is the classic game that, though not showing any sign of excellence, is able to do discreetly what it promises.
