Within the limitations common to Gust's games, Second Light demonstrates the developers' care in creating the most enjoyable title possible. It's a game that its individual aspects can all be considered good or great, but never earning a difference to be called excellent. It's certainly a memorable experience for its battle system and and the casual conversations with each character on this summer vacation adventure, and one that I would certainly recommend to those who are already familiar with the developer's games.

Delivering combat, exploration, exciting battles and an impecable art in 2D sprites, Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth has the potential to amaze fans of the Metroidvania genre and maybe even bring new fans to the thirty-plus year old franchise.

Wukong is colorful and visually charming, and it's certainly an appealing, especially child-friendly version of the universe of this classic Chinese legend. With some good ideas, it can be fun, but unfortunately it feels unfinished, presents a series of technical instabilities, lack of design cohesion and a complete narrative abstention.

Solar Ash is an amazing and beautiful title that not only tells a nice story, but has a challenging and fun gameplay that will keep you hooked for its entire duration. Another great title by Heart Machine.

Evil Genius 2: World Domination is an almost perfect RTS. It retains a lot of the original game, perhaps too much, but delivers it on consoles excellently and with great controls. Addictive and fun, it might be the best RTS in the entire PlayStation library today.

Betting on a success formula that involves horror and suspense, Insomnis presents an interesting narrative that works well in the art of causing scares and tension. Exploration and item collection play a key role in the gameplay experience through objective and fun matches that will delight players. The title is suitable for all those who like to have fun without the exaggerations of more complex games as the matches are fast and efficient in their own right.

Built on a rich setting, challenging combat and very well developed progression elements, Dandy Ace delivers a fairly firm palace of cards, proving to be one of the best roguelikes of the year and easily one of the best independent games of that last quarter.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is a pleasant surprise, proving once again that the universe of the franchise is much bigger than we imagined. Very conscious of what it intends, the game brings solid gameplay, a typical story of the genre very well told and very nice art, resulting in one of the best games of the genre in recent times.

Not even a good gunplay and the excellent Portal mode can save Battlefield 2042 from being a mediocre experience. The various additions to the game, such as specialists and huge scope for matches, have no effect and create a disastrous, tiring experience and an insult to the franchise's history.

Comprised of dozens of Creation Club additions and a petty upgrade for the PS5 version, Skyrim's anniversary edition is good, but not enough to justify such an expensive upgrade. Most of the new content are cosmetic and don't add as much to the experience. It is only recommended for the most enthusiastic fans. For everybody else, it is advisable to wait for a sale.

Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy Vol. 1 is a good introduction to the Battle Operation universe, but in its first volume it does little more than serve as a great tutorial on the combat system. There is potential to be explored, but little to make it a notorious game.

The remaster of three of the most important games in video game history in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition fails in almost everything that it proposes, even if you can ignore a few contextual merits. However, this definitive version is far from the respect it owes to the originals and, mainly, to the audience.

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One is the best Sherlock game made by Frogwares to date. The franchise managed to make a big leap to the new generation without losing its essence, bringing a complete, cohesive and fun title.

Corpse Party is a good horror game and a welcome remake of one of the genre's cult classics. There are some issues with its gameplay, but it's a fun experience and one that fans of the genre will enjoy.

Vanguard delivers the Call of Duty experience in a very traditional and solid way, but with nothing new. Far from being a perfect title, it has several problems in the campaign, multiplayer and zombies, such as lack of direction, refinement or content.

Airborne Kingdom is an excellent city-building and resource management game, with a theme as original as the concept of flying kingdoms. With a fluid and comfortable gameplay for the controls and an amazing narrative construction, it is one of the best recent games in the genre.

Port Royale 4 brings good solutions for the genre and will certainly please many people interested in resource management, period commercial systems and the nautical theme as a whole. But it's important to know that it's a much more bureaucratic than an adventurous game, having a lot more backstage than action.

Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars is another good game by Yoko Taro, with well-executed concepts worthy of the director's other works, although it doesn't reach the level established by bigger games due to its limitations.
