A solid collection of a beloved series of games, with nothing new added into the mix.
Despite not going as far as I feel it could have, Yuppie Psycho had me laughing and running scared in all the right places.
...the longer you play the more problems you notice and the more you realise that the game simply doesn’t feel complete or coherent. I don’t think Generation Zero will be remembered fondly in the future, if remembered at all.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice scratches the Souls itch but does so with some uniqueness and refreshing ideas. This game is not for the faint of heart, however.
Xenon Racer is a perfectly serviceable arcade racer, but the significant technical shortcomings of the Switch port make it difficult to recommend in its current state.
Yoshi's Crafted World combines solid gameplay with enough new ideas and a vibrant, creative visual twist that makes it more than worthwhile for platforming fans.
Fans of the Atelier franchise might get a kick out of seeing familiar faces, but by combining a JRPG and a city management sim, it creates a result less than the sum of its parts.
Despite having a rich universe of content to draw from, it seems as though it's doomed to be just another average anime-inspired video game.
Baba Is You is genuinely impressive. Changing the rule set of the game as you play is a powerful and compelling tool.
With a deep, interesting city full of content to explore and an endgame that seems very fleshed out, The Division 2 is incredible value, and will likely go down as one of the most successful sequels of all time.
For a game that's 10 years old, Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn is still a fun experience, though it's sad that you can't share it with friends.
Is a perfectly playable fighting game featuring plenty of colourful characters and interactive backgrounds. Perhaps let down by its simplicity and lack of balance between fighters.
It's Persona, but not quite as good. In the end, I cant help but compare the two games. Its not going to replace Persona in your heart, but its a good sweetheart of a distraction in the meantime.
Devil May Cry 5 certainly provides moments of fun and if you can look past some aspects that belong in the last generation of gaming then you will have a competent action romp with Dante and friends. However I feel like this entry is a step backwards after DMC dared to shake up the formula a little more.
The Occupation is so many things I have wanted to see in a game, but I can't give it the love and adoration I want to.
What frustrates me the most about Anthem is that the things that work in the game's favour are really well implemented. It feels like a complete waste to have these awesome traversal and combat mechanics utilised in such an uninspired game
Ape Out by Greg Cuzzillo is a fun fresh game that's too addictive for its own good. You'd be bananas not to give it a shot.
Trials Rising has some missteps when it comes to its progression and unlocking of content, but still has an addictive, enjoyable gameplay loop that will keep you coming back time and time again.
The Stillness of the Wind offers up a captivating story combined with serene gameplay. If you're looking for an emotionally engaging gaming experience, this game should definitely be added to your list.
Far Cry New Dawn steers the franchise towards a deeper and more robust future. If Far Cry 6 incorporates some of the new elements, it will be a game to keep your eye on.
