With a special emphasis on real-time management, a nostalgic presentation/narrative tone, and a diverse array of supernatural monsters and weapons, RESEARCH and DESTROY is a unique turn-based/tactical RPG that encourages speed of action without diminishing the process of decision making. However, the game's reliance on recurring enemy spawns in random positions is problematic to promote any strategy development and contributes to a feeling of repetition, a feeling also associated with the scarcity of unique objectives and bosses.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is a true tribute to the 80's and 90's series, capable of transporting us to feelings that we affectionately keep in the back of our mind. Even more so, it manages on its own merit, to stand out as a competent beat'em up for new generations that want to try it. This is an essential title for any lover of the genre and a great way to spend an evening well spent.

Card Shark is a game like no other, brilliantly blending compelling narrative and gameplay based on captivating, fun-to-learn minigames and small puzzles. It is also a title that is always a pleasure to behold and listen to, although it is regrettable to be so plagued by technical problems and bugs that disrupt the experience. If these problems were not so pressing, we could be facing a game that is highly recommendable to almost everyone, but it is still a title with many tricks up its sleeve that will please many players.

Remote Life deserves a lot of credit. A game made by a single person, where the small flaws are easily compensated by the risk of joining two different genres in a very original title. A frantic and at the same time scary Shmup, highly recommended for lovers of the genre.

Kao the Kangaroo is a surprisingly successful game, and a quality reboot for a series that, so far, has had little impact. The platforming sections are always fun, and the search for collectibles can keep you entertained for hours. It's just not a recommendable experience for any fan of 3D platform games for having an uninspired combat system and an almost inexcusable amount of bugs and problems. With a little more love and affection, this could very well be the rebirth from the ashes of this mascot, whose next entry we will look forward to with anticipation and interest.

Cotton Fantasy is an excellent tribute to the series and a beautiful gift for its 30 years anniversary, keeping all the magic of its legacy. A classic that continues to please both lovers of the genre and those who just like to play it casually.

With intuitive mechanics, a calming sound environment and an uncomplicated design, Mini Motorways is the perfect game to relax and at the same time work our gray matter. It's always rewarding to raise our high scores, while our losses are entirely attributable to our lapses in most cases. In the end, this is an addictive and cozy game that deserves the attention of all enthusiasts of the genre and will reward you for the time you invest in it.

Rationally, several aspects detract from the overall quality of the set: a Wii Sports Resort-level amount of sports would be desirable, and decisions such as limiting play with friends to TV Mode and a disproportionate emphasis on online mode can conflict with the experience. Yet, this appreciation and conditioning are out of line with the reality of playing Nintendo Switch Sports: this sequel marks the successful return of the addictive fun of Wii Sports, especially with friends, but surprisingly also with strangers via the online mode.

Trek to Yomi is, in our humble opinion, an experience mandatory for all players. A surprising experience, which brings a breath of fresh air to the current videogame market, while presenting visually beautiful graphics and a captivating story. A videogame that makes you absorve the lacking colors and immerse ourselves in these tons of grey that awaken our senses, where both Japanese history and mythology are well represented.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe not only recaptures the magic of almost a decade ago, as it features new and more sophisticated tricks that left us imprisoned to the screen. The original content shows its' age, but the new content is very fresh and beautifully complements Stanley's misadventures. If you never played the original, prepare to laugh, cry, be scared and reflect on everything and everyone. If you know this game since its original release, get ready to do it all again. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a mandatory experience for any gamer, and this new release made us remember which it's such an acclaimed indie title.

Nothing in Lila's Sky Ark is offensive or frustrating to the player. Still, likewise, nothing is remarkable or exemplary. Our adventure through the beautiful world of Lila regularly leaves us to think of the potential that this game would have, if it have been studied or developed more deeply in regards to its challenges, mechanics and its a more appealing story. As such, this game ends up being a harmless way to spend a few hours, without anything that significantly distinguishes it from other games of the genre.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is a good send-off to PlayStation from Bethesda. Whether we're fighting demons or exploring this impeccable recreation of the city of Tokyo, this is a fun-filled experience. Too bad the same can't be said about the narrative, which presents itself without any structure and poorly managed, which notably tarnishes the overall experience. Still, it's a recommendable worthy adventure and a nice farewell for the publisher now owned by the Japanese giant's rivals.

It may have taken decades to get the first Kirby 3D finally delivered into our hands, but the wait was definitely worth it. While playing Kirby and the Forgotten Land, we even feel that HAL Laboratory spent all these years developing Kirby in 3D. Not only the intuitiveness of the gameplay, but also the level of quality and polish are elements that boasts the adventure from start to finish. Not satisfied with being a perfect adaptation of Kirby to 3D environments, Kirby and the Forgotten Land also introduces a series of novelties that reaffirm the potential of the next games. All this, while establishing it as a refreshing and fun experience, that promises to put a smile on the lips of any player.

Chocobo GP is a fun kart racing game in which we can easily spend some time, but at the end of the day it doesn't manage to bring anything innovative to the genre. The truth is that most players (including us) will invest some time in this title, simply because they love Final Fantasy. In the end, it's safe to say that Chocobo GP is an experience that doesn't surpass other titles of the genre, but if players enter mindful of its limitations and what it currently is, they can enjoy a good dose of fun.

Triangle Strategy is, without a doubt, a TRPG worth playing. Both those who have recently discovered a love for the genre (due to its level of accessibility) and long-time fans of TRPGs (as it is quite similar to older titles) will have a worthwhile experience here. The title presents us with a beautiful story, in which the player himself decides both its chapters and its end, as well as an eye-popping combat system. In the end, any player will certainly have the feeling of a fulfillment!

Answering our title question, if Strangers of Paradise deserves to have Final Fantasy in the title, our answer is adamant: it does not. There was no relevant care in several factors to even be a game that can be enjoyed. The story doesn't have a logical plot, the game-play becomes repetitive and especially the graphic aspect is a blunt (sorry for the repetition of the term)... Chaos. We sincerely hope that Final Fantasy XVI will erase this spinoff from memory, with the certainty that until then the name of Square Enix does not bring us the joy it once did.

Phantom Breaker: Omnia can't be called a bad game, however there are certain aspects that could be optimized. In a fighting title, it is problematic to have stronger, faster, and more damaging characters than others. A fight game needs to consider a delicate balance, which is not always noted in this particular experience. Despite this, the game presents a fairly simple yet gratifying fighting mechanic. The inclusion of 3 different fighting styles is, without a doubt, one of the better aspects providing a great variety to the game (still, it's not something new, or better implemented in other games).

Elden Ring is one the the best games ever released, raising quickly to our personal top of favorite games of all time. The game manages to evolve the Souls-style combat formula, while introducing an immaculate open world whose exploration is a first-minute to last-minute pleasure. Truly an experience accessible to new players, but without losing sight of the world famous "punishing game" label. Those who will invest their time and patience in learning its deep mechanics, find here an experience nothing short of perfection and that deserves all and any praise.

Gran Turismo 7 is without a doubt a masterpiece, both visually and in terms of innovation. The game has not escaped its origins and, presents a wonderful continuity to the franchise's reputation. The variety of vehicles is quite impressive, the amount of content that the game presents us is challenging and above all the gameplay is incredible. Driving in Gran Turismo 7 is without a doubt a unique experience and we recommend it to everyone… especially if you have access to a steering wheel and headphones. However, certain decisions are difficult to understand. This being the 8th game in the franchise, one would expect better choices from the developers, above all considering the mistakes they made in the previous title (Gran Turismo Sport). The impossibility of playing without being connected to the internet, the vehicles that, even with the microtransactions, are almost impossible to acquire and the weak focus given to local multiplayer are restrictions that can make anyone legitimately "turn up their nose" when looking at this game. If we ignore these details, Gran Turismo 7 is without a doubt a mandatory game for car lovers and without a doubt a title recommended by us!

The Cruel King and the Great Hero is a lovely RPG, carefully hand drawn, that presents us with a story of supplanting and growth. The players are presented with an exciting experience, even though quite elementar towards it's mechanics. The final sensation is that we are facing a fairy tale that is presented to us in a magical way. Despite the tedious random battles, the experience tends to reveal itself as captivating throughout its duration. Essentially, we consider a title that deserves to be passed by everyone at least once.
