Sugardew Island has the potential to be a cozy farming sim, but its simplistic approach works against it. While the game looks beautiful and plays smoothly, repetitive gameplay and flat NPCs prevent the island from truly coming to life. It’s a relaxing experience for casual players, but seasoned farming sim fans may find it is a missed opportunity.

Knights in Tight Spaces combines genres with a unique visual style and deep combat system, where strategic enemy manipulation through pushing and pulling keeps gameplay engaging, and deckbuilding adds an extra layer of strategy; however, a flawed UI and unbalanced decks hinder the experience, making it enjoyable for tactical deckbuilder fans despite a steep learning curve and occasional RNG frustration—though with some refinements, it could become a true classic rather than a rough diamond in need of polishing.

Hazelight Studios proves once again with Split Fiction that more co-op games like this should exist; following the massive success of It Takes Two, they deliver another thrilling adventure—despite a few minor flaws—that offers a fresh and exciting experience across emotions, gameplay, humor, music, story, and environments, making it a must-play for fans of It Takes Two and anyone seeking a great co-op game.

Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered offers fans a reason to revisit this trilogy with improved graphics and small but welcome gameplay enhancements, and while these entries remain fairly average, Aspyr has put in great effort to honor them, making them a worthwhile experience for those who enjoyed the first trilogy—just don’t forget to save!

Everhood 2 delivers a unique rhythm-based combat system, vibrant worlds, and a strong soundtrack, but repetitive enemies and unnecessary RPG elements hold it back, making it an interesting yet flawed experience for fans of unconventional RPGs.

Two Point Museum delivers the same lighthearted humor and accessible gameplay as the rest of the series, with a fun career mode, diverse museum themes that keep things fresh, a well-balanced mix of education and entertainment (though the decoration system lacks depth), engaging expeditions as an immersive twist on the classic R&D mechanic, and an entertaining—if somewhat shallow—management system, making it a charming and enjoyable experience that fans of the Two Point series will surely appreciate.

2K has made a significant impact with PGA TOUR 2K25, delivering the best golf simulator of the moment thanks to the welcome addition of EvoSwing technology and a diverse range of modes that ensure hours of engaging gameplay, though some aspects—particularly the audio, including commentary and soundtrack—could have been improved; nonetheless, if you love golf, PGA TOUR 2K25 is an excellent choice.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage - Tape 1 completely drew me into the mysteries of Velvet Cove and hasn’t let go even after finishing, with Swann, Kat, Nora, and Autumn’s friendships stealing the show despite some technical hiccups; while the story could have picked up the pace sooner and given more time between time jumps, its gripping start leaves me eagerly awaiting the next chapter in April, as the fate of the friend group remains a mystery.

In Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, fan-favorite Goro Majima leads a gloriously absurd spin-off where you play as a pirate in a modern world, summon sharks and jellyfish, and bombard enemies with cannonballs, all while indulging in minigames, references, and crew recruitment; though limited to two fighting styles and a sometimes uncooperative camera, its compact playtime, lower price, and classic beat-‘em-up action make it a wild, worthwhile ride for Like a Dragon fans.

Avowed is a solid RPG that borrows elements from Skyrim while maintaining its own identity, featuring a deep story, impactful choices, and a beautifully crafted world; its combat is versatile but hindered by the lack of a lock-on and dodge roll, exploration is rewarding with rich lore and meaningful side quests, companions are well-written but could be stronger in combat, and while the absence of romance options may disappoint some, the game remains a must-play for RPG fans seeking an immersive and open-ended experience.

Afterlove EP is an atmospheric visual novel with a unique Indonesian setting, a touching story, and strong music, though limited choices, a distracting rhythm minigame, and missing voice acting hold it back, yet it still resonates emotionally, especially for those connected to its culture or themes.

Civilization 7 lays a solid foundation but doesn’t yet reach its full potential. While the game is beautiful, packed with content, and delivers that classic “one more turn” feeling, it stops at the moon landing, skipping modern progress. The absence of key leaders like Gandhi or the English also feels strange. Still, empire-building is as satisfying as ever, and with time, the necessary finishing touches will come.

While Big Helmet Heroes has its flaws—such as random bugs, frustrating camera controls, and the absence of multiplayer options—the game's delightful art style, engaging gameplay, and strong level variety make it a joy to play, resulting in a technically imperfect yet charming experience that, while not on par with Castle Crashers, offers a lovable and entertaining alternative.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is a unique RPG focused on choices, risks, and survival in a hostile universe, where dice mechanics and a new stress system add tension and narrative freedom, while strong writing and layered decisions elevate the story—though its lack of action and slow pace may not appeal to everyone, fans of narrative-driven RPGs with distinctive gameplay will find much to enjoy.

Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap combines tower defense, third-person action, and roguelike elements into a chaotic yet satisfying experience, offering fresh missions with unique War Mages and traps, an engaging Gamble Forward system, and standout multiplayer (with custom lobbies), though held back by a lack of tutorial, clunky navigation, and some quirks that fans of strategic chaos will need to embrace.

Eternal Strands showcases immense potential with its standout physics-driven magic system and thrilling monster battles, but a dull narrative, clunky melee combat, and awkward animations detract from what could have been a truly remarkable experience.

If you hold fond memories of Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles, the 2025 version might feel more like a lazy rerelease than a remaster, with minimal changes beyond slightly smoother gameplay, some extra characters, and couch co-op—leaving the same dated graphics, frustrating gameplay, and a sense that little effort was made, albeit at a modest price of twenty euros.
