Pocky & Rocky Reshrined provides a lot of nostalgia towards the titles that came before, especially the first one on SNES. This sentimental longing towards the past has merits, but when put side by side with the new things it offers, it doesn't feel like it's enough of a package to people who never heard of the duo of youkai hunters. The different characters add some cool replay factor to the game, but in the end, I'd recommend it more to those who experienced the series' beginnings on consoles [back in the day].

Even considering its minimalist intention, Milky Way Prince: The Vampire Star is too simple in some of its visual aspects, such as the backgrounds, and the story could have been a little longer and more polished to better develop characters. Its senses system is interesting and offers a unique experience, but could have been more developed. Generally speaking, the game design is coherent and well made to represent a dysfunctional relationship, giving it strong personality, expression and immersion in a work with dense symbology and psychological themes of great relevance. The title is recommended for fans of experimental and reflective games, especially fans of romance VNs with a focus on psychological aspects.

Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei curiously explores an alternate story inspired by Heike Monogatari. With charismatic characters and a beautiful direction when it comes to graphical representation of the period and combat, Shanao's story is a high quality otome game. Fans of historical visual novels in particular will definitely enjoy the game.

In addition to the stunning visuals, the game has accessible systems capable of pleasing different audiences. Besides that, the story mode captivates by offering great recreations of important plot facts, even though the exploration snippets are a little boring. Like other anime adaptations, The Hinokami Chronicles suffers from superficial mechanics and limited diversity content - possibly a sequel will improve these aspects. In the end, Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles is recommended for those looking for an uncompromising fighting title and for fans of the anime and manga.

Senren Banka is a visual novel with beautiful artwork and emotional romance and drama scenes. It's a work with good artistic direction and, despite its main plot having a slow start that's a little unappealing, it starts getting better in the love interest routes themselves. The main strength of this visual novel is on the uncertainties of love rather than its erotic appeal.

Even if Tempest is a solid addition to the growing otome game library on Switch. Undoubtedly, Souldiers has many merits, especially in its plot detail, gameplay depth and charisma. However, it should be noted that some of its premises are difficult to take advantage of, largely due to a logic of exaggeration, which transforms simple stretches into long, punitive moments with rhythm problems. With corrections, I believe that one day Terragaya could show more promise for Switch players, especially those who are excited by the idea of exploring a game that does not hide its old-school traits.

In the end, They Always Run is a challenging, fun and especially electrifying title, with a lot of action in its combats and chase sequences. It merits saying the journey isn't infalible to errors and technical failures, with bugs and glitches happening sometimes and ruining the gameplay. But, overall, this doesn't mean the game doesn't offer happy moments while traversing the galaxy. After all, we have the company of Aiden, the raddest three-arms bounty hunter in the universe.

My time with Kao the Kangaroo left me filled with mixed feelings. On the one hand, I enjoyed its simple yet engaging challenges and its world-building, which recalls the cartoons we watched as children. However, on the other hand, I found so many technical flaws that all the satisfaction that the game brings in its essence gave way to frustration. Perhaps with a good update, the game will get the polish it deserves. Until then, it's like a Schrodinger Game: it's both good and bad.
