Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion is a much superior version, especially in audiovisual aspects, and its artistic and musical style is in tune with the Final Fantasy VII remake. On the other hand, the gameplay deserved a deeper overhaul, as well as more content. Despite having little appeal on its own, the game is recommended to fans of Final Fantasy VII, as it adds weight to its narrative experience.

Those who are willing to face and overcome this challenge will surely be awarded with a great mix of roguelike, escape room and deckbuilder. Besides that, Inscryption has several layers and secrets, managing to surprise at almost every moment.

Despite being far from being a flawless title, especially when it comes to graphic performance, easy challenges and low combat variety, Wavetale manages to easily captivate through its narrative. Alongside charming art direction and agile gameplay, these features make Sigrid's journey capable of offering a rich and fun experience on the open seas.

Samurai Maiden, in terms of content and action, is a competent hack 'n' slash, even more so for including different gameplay options thanks to Tsumugi's interaction with Iyo, Hagane and Komimi. In addition, the game has an interesting story, even if it relies on narrative clichés and fanservice. However, as much as the visual presentation is impeccable, even more so taking into account the dated hardware of the Switch, the game suffers from serious performance problems, making the hybrid console not the best option for Samurai Maiden.

There's no denying that Romancing SaGa -Minstrel Song- Remastered has beautiful illustrations and melodies. Furthermore, it is evident how complex, ingenious and interesting its gameplay is. This game is an absolute must for anyone who wants something flexible, experimental, and challenging in a JRPG, but it's not recommended for a beginner or any player who doesn't have a healthy dose of patience.

On one hand, Just Dance 2023 Edition is a promising game due to a good music selection, incremented menus, new online possibilities and other features. On the other, it leaves something to be desired due to the absence of modes, obligatory internet connection, interface errors, and few songs in its subsctiption system. In sum, this means the launch may please the fans but it still has to improve other aspects to be as big as its franchise should, having gained tradition especially in Nintendo consoles.

RWBY: Arrowfell is a passable action platformer, but there are many better options on the market. For those who are big fans of the franchise, perhaps the game is more engaging, but it is far from being a strong recommendation for the system.

Despite being the title with the most content and the one that I enjoyed the most in the entire series, unfortunately Pokémon Scarlet/Violet will always be remembered for its release full of bugs and with an unacceptable technical sloppiness for a game of such an important franchise. Without a doubt, it is a step forward in the series and the sense of discovery and fascination with a new world is something I haven't felt in years. I have no doubt that the foundation laid here will be the standard in future titles. However, as fun as it is, during gameplay you are constantly reminded that this game lacks care and was released earlier than it should have been.

In the company of sailors, players who take on the challenge of facing the seas of Ship of Fools will certainly have a great time, even with the scarce gameplay repertoire.

Front Mission remains a good game, but it has limitations especially in level design and narrative that put it below some of the tactical RPGs that came after it. That said, despite Forever Entertainment bringing little new content and a modest technical revision, Front Mission 1st: Remake is the best version of this game, with remastered music and significant improvements in graphics and quality of life. Considering it's a classic and also a really interesting TRPG in combat systems and some aspects of its plot and music, it's a title highly indicated to tactical RPG fans. For new players, however, there are more accessible and immersive options to recommend.

Rogue Legacy 2 manages to bring back everything that worked in the first game and improve in almost all aspects. consegue trazer tudo que funcionou no primeiro jogo e melhorar quase todos os aspectos. Making use of the excellent premise and gameplay of the classic title, this sequel doesn't try to reinvent the wheel but knows how to get the most out of the strengths it already had and add a lot of content on top. Switch's performance is impeccable and playing this excellent roguelike in portable mode anywhere is highly recommended.

Behind its beautiful art, The Knight Witch houses a frantic and deep game, both for the personality of its story and for its ability to combine different genres in robust gameplay. In this way, manifesting herself as a true Witch Warrior, the brave Rayne casts a powerful spell and creates a journey that proves capable of enchanting everyone on Switch.

I fully understand who gives greater importance to the graphic quality of a game, but this is a factor that has never been among my priorities when considering a purchase or writing a review. I think that's why it was so easy for me to ignore the visual problems in It Takes Two. These flaws are even more evident in more complex textures like hair strands and clothing fabrics, but I reiterate that they are largely irrelevant. Just call your player 2 and go deep into one of the most enriching journeys in video games.

Lover Pretend is an otome game with a narrative that ends up a little too reliant on plot convenience for its romance to work. Even so, its youthful text, charismatic characters and excellent illustrations are enough to make it a good addition to the Switch library. It's worth a try if a basic drama is all you're looking for.

Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is not a simple collection, which takes advantage of a commemorative brand to earn a few bucks with old and reheated titles. What we have here is an exhibition that is nothing short of a real museum: we have classic works, testimonials from the creators, curiosities and openings for new interpretations. This is the model of how every celebratory work should be.

Sonic Frontiers is without a doubt a step forward for the series, the "Open Zone" style direction can be polished, expanded and bring future good games, as well as the game's attempt to bring a tighter and well-written plot is very welcome. However, for every step the title takes in the right direction, there are elements that impede its brilliance, such as the Cyberspace sections and the level design inconsistent in quality. The bottom line is a feeling that we're playing a proof of concept for a great future game rather than an already fully creatively conceived product.

HARVESTELLA is yet another great release from Square Enix. The neat plot, the beautiful and accurate soundtrack, the charismatic characters and the simple but enjoyable combat, make the title one of the best experiences of this year.

Smurfs Kart is a simple game and doesn't try to be more than that. This is by no means a bad thing. The title knows what it wants to present and delivers casual, family fun using all the charisma and sympathy of the characters. Just like Clumsy Smurf, it slips up a little, making it unable to reach the highest places of the podium, but it's fun enough to be worth a few laps.

Though it has some execution issues, Milk Inside a Bag of Milk Inside a Bag of Milk and Milk Outside a Bag of Milk Outside a Bag of Milk is a visual novel with a curious concept worth trying. With a translation to Portuguese, the work discusses pertinent questions with a compelling psychological atmosphere but they deserved more depth and development.

Bayonetta 3 is grand, addictive, and an absolute must-see. The fact that even its serious performance issues on the Switch are not enough to stop a genuine recommendation is a testament to the quality of the third game in one of the most interesting franchises in the gaming industry. Don't let yourself be fooled: for all intents and purposes, here's PlatinumGames' magnum opus and another great hit from Nintendo.
