Mainly for its vast amount of content and gameplay depth, Dying Light: Platinum Edition is a great addition to the Switch library. While not its most exuberant version, the title offers a fun and complex survival horror experience capable of entertaining for dozens of hours by magnificently mixing open world in first person with parkour and zombies. By the way, an ambitious combination that harmonizes very well with the portability of the hybrid console.

In an increasingly competitive scenario, Evertried manages to stand out with its unique mix of turn-based strategy, grid movement and roguelite mechanics, proving to be a beautiful exponent of the interesting and growing Brazilian indie scene. Even its occasional problems are not enough to detract from a work that finds its best version on the Nintendo Switch, given its play style and the system's natural portability and flexibility. The hope is that an eventual sequel will expand the concepts presented here — the potential, like a certain haunted tower, is too great to go unnoticed.

Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi is exactly what you should expect from a dungeon crawler RPG. It's an experience that's the complete package, bringing soft changes to the formula while maintaining itself simple enough to be a good entry point in the genre. Nonetheless, there are other titles that are more interesting in the market and its small issues weaken the product's value overall.

In many ways, The Caligula Effect 2 (Switch) is what you'd expect from a sequel. King's Bounty II is fun, but some frustrating details like the character's slow movement when exploring the world and poorly finished graphics give the impression of lack of polish and spoil the overall experience. Fortunately, the tactical combat is very good, offering nuances to explore. Agatha Christie — Hercule Poirot: The First Cases brings an original story, but it's a worthy homage to the Queen of Crime. With a gameplay and plot that are both interesting and compelling employing logical reasoning, it's hard not to feel yourself in the actual role of a young, but eccentric detective Hercule Poirot, whose method to solve crimes is explored faithfully. Maybe it'll be better appreciated by the fans of Agatha Christie, who are already used to her narrative style, but it can be enjoyed by all police novel fans.

Awaited for years, Diablo II: Ressurected brings the adaptation of a classic work to the present day without its original essence being lost in the process. The visual and sound conversion deserves praise, and the ability to instantly switch between original and remastered visuals is the definitive addition in a complete, coherent package, capable of pleasing both veterans and newcomers to the series. When venturing against evil again, it is clear that some points could be reworked, such as movement and inventory. But the truth is, even its downsides can be lightened with a little patience — just keep in mind that in the 2000s, some things were a little different in the gaming world, for better and for worse.

Dandy Ace nails all its main concepts and ideas. It has a balanced difficulty at all levels, with a very satisfying learning curve and a replay factor that shows that Mad Mimic knows exactly where to go. The theme make the scenarios and characters wonderfully captivating, with emphasis on the PT-BR dubbing, which has known Brazilian youtubers and streamers, such as BRKsEDU, Gabi Cattuzzo and Patife, who add an extra touch of personality to this national indie scene surprise.

Given this overall balance, it's easy to see that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom PRINCE'S EDITION (Switch) is far from an exemplary action-RPG, there are high points, but in almost all of them there are also drawbacks. The title would have a lot to be improved mechanically both in the level design of the missions and in the action and RPG systems. On the other hand, the work captivates both in artistic aspects and in the variety and accessibility of its game design.

Metroid Dread refines the franchise's 2D formula into one great game. The vast ZDR planet has an elaborate map full of alternative routes and secrets, and the agile movement make the journey very pleasant. In addition, E.M.M.I. encounters excite and terrify in tension-filled stretches. The battles are also more varied, difficult and intense, however the bosses are a bit problematic because of some questionable choices. The feeling of being alone and lost in a strange world is strong, but irregular the rhythm at times makes the experience a bit tiring. The plot is simple and has intriguing developments that are portrayed in elaborate scenes. Visually the title is competent, it just lacked a little more personality in certain locations. In the end, Metroid Dread maintains the 2D essence of the series in an immersive adventure, it's just a shame that the opportunity to dare a little was wasted.

Although its concept of temporality can be frustrating at times, the title may appeal to those looking for sensitive narratives with a different connection to the gameplay. Furthermore, it is easily recommended for those who enjoy metroidvania-style exploration dynamics and dungeons like those of the 2D games in the Zelda series.
