Despite not having the replayability factor, Touhou Luna Nights is a metroidvania that delivers frantic action from start to finish, without leaving aside the original game on which it was based. With a history of its own, there is no need to get to know Touhou in depth to take advantage of this mind-blowing spin-off that can please both experienced and novice players.

Nova-box developed a quality title with an engaging and mature plot in the genre of interactive visual novels, leaving the player thirsty for reaching all the endings. However, the not-so-varied diversity of events and the repeatability may prevent some players from seeing all the outcomes. Even so, Seers Isle is a title of extreme quality, and comes close to perfection.

Picklock is a creative game that had its potential buried by poorly adjusted controls. Not even the humor, the art style or the soundtrack can avoid the bad impression that the gameplay conveys to the player. Unfortunately, a title that could attract attention within the indie scene will go unnoticed because of completely avoidable game design issues.

I think it's fair to say that Sam & Max Save the World has one of the best moods I've seen in video games. Its six episodes feature quirky and fun stories, and its puzzles are interesting and work well. Even though it was originally released in 2006, the point and click of the dog in a suit and the hyperactive rabbit still guarantees laughter on the Switch screen - now in a timely remastering.

Fatal Fury: First Contact brings the mechanics and advanced gameplay of Real Bout Fatal Fury 2. The lack of extra characters and features, however, makes this port more recommended for Fatal Fury fans or for Neo Geo Pocket fighting game enthusiasts who want to complete the library on a modern console like the Switch. Despite its few flaws, it is still a great choice to have the experience of Real Bout 2 on the go.

Doom Eternal is a 2020 treasure that will be remembered for a long time as the best FPS of recent years. Although the title oozes quality, it is not for everyone due to the intense gameplay and the high difficulty that may not suit all tastes. The Switch port is satisfactory enough to recommend to those who have never had contact with the series, but those who already have the game on other platforms will probably feel little inclined to play it again.

Breakpoint brings some concepts not normally seen in the genre, such as spaceships using melee weapons. The audiovisual work deserves to be highlighted, as well as the general polishing. The absence of more modes leaves a half-baked feeling, but it does not take away the shine of the simple and precise gameplay.

Grindstone uses simple mechanics in an elegant way in an exceptional puzzle. Creating sequences of attacks during the stages is easy and intuitive, but the increasing difficulty forces us to think strategically - it is very rewarding to clear the board with a well thought out combo or to get out of a complicated situation unscathed. New elements are introduced constantly, invigorating the experience frequently, even though some problems, such as peaks of difficulty, are a little annoying. These qualities, together with a stylish colorful look and a lot of content, make Grindstone an addictive game.

Two Parsecs From Earth is an average game with little polish, and does not deserve a strong indication. Generic Level Design and excessive repetition make the experience dull. In addition, technical problems, such as the protagonist's damage box being larger than him, hinder the game. At least Z3-L1 and its mechanics are charismatic enough to have a sequel that lives up to its potential.

Shiren The Wanderer is not exactly relaxing, on the contrary: the game is intense and cerebral, like a chess game in many moments. In addition, there is not much to explore beyond its main purpose: constant adventures in dungeons generated in a procedural way. However, this is not exactly a problem. The gameplay of the game is its strong point and, within the specific subgenre of the Mystery Dungeons, it delivers an almost perfect experience.

Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise is the kind of sequence that does not venture much out of the comfort zone. The base of its gameplay is exactly the same from the game launched two years ago, kepting the inconsistent motion and a lack of variety of modes. However, the title makes small but considerable changes to its overall quality. All this means that this sequence does not innovate the fitness game genre, but respectfully fulfills its role.

Part Time UFO uses charm and creativity to create a great puzzle games. Carrying things with a claw and doing countless jobs is fun, mainly because of the wide variety of situations, which are even cooler in the company of a friend. Some moments are annoying, as they require a lot of precision and the controls don't always offer the needed accuracy - luckily, they are rare. The visual captivates with the use of lots of color and expressive characters, and there is a lot of content to explore in optional modes and challenges. In the end, Part Time UFO is a unique experience and a remarkable puzzle.

Vera Blanc: Full Moon has an excellent comic style and is very detailed. The minigames may be from the past, but they are good for what is needed. There are a few different endings that give the game a little more longevity, but both are based on a late decision in the story. The gameplay, although simple, lacks movement between the scenarios and practically forces the player to save before each decision to avoid having to redo the whole story. Even with these flaws, the game is a good choice and it will surely entertain you for a few hours.

Paw Paw Paw is a consistent game that brings a good variety and inventive insights, which made the title show more commitment than I expected. It was a lot of fun to go ahead and learn more about the unusual world of animals that don't want to wear pants, in an adventure that holds good surprises, such as the presence of mounts, the possibility of hiring henchmen and even local multiplayer. It is not something that I would recommend to everyone, but it can be a good option if you enjoy beating, action, upgrades and, especially, an eccentric and fun story.

Even with an interesting and promising premise, and immersive graphics, Apparition does not take advantage of the good idea under which the game appears to have been developed. The result is a disastrous execution that suffers from serious game design problems, confusing controls and a bad interface, which make the real horror the game itself.

Warriorb sins at the point that I consider most central in a video game, entertainment. The game is not only not fun, but also not pleasant to look at, hear or play. The feeling of spending my time in this world was like buying a game just for the cover, just to regret it bitterly after 10 minutes. Even so, amid the mistakes, stumbles and bumps of this unpleasant environment, something still remains in the memory. I believe the idea of a challenging platform game focused on more "realistic" ball physics is quite interesting, but the title has failed to make it work.

Touhou Spell Bubble is an excellent rhythm puzzle that combines two franchises from different genres in a unique way, in addition to having a vast cast of artists and voice actors. Even though it is a niche game and more meaningful only to Touhou fans, the spin-off is full of fun and fantastic replayability that can be extended with the local multiplayer. With music and settings for all tastes, it is an unusual mix that works well - and, of course, it can serve as a gateway to the fantastic universe created by ZUN.

Sniper Elite 4 is a title that will appeal to both casual players and fans of the genre, especially those who prefer stealth. The Switch port has some visual problems that take away some of the charm, but the gameplay experience is good. The game is not a Triple A, but it achieves the same quality as one.

Tamiku is the typical game that falls easily into oblivion as soon as the player gets tired of it, having completed it or not. Although the game is almost flawless, the gameplay is too modern to evoke a nostalgia feeling and its high difficulty is more frustrating that encouraging.

Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- Xtend Edition is an thought-provoking mystery game. The tense atmosphere and the characters' complexity are some of its strengths, and the unique decisions system is experimental in a rich way for the genre, but avoids becoming inconvenient. Even the repetitive stretches of the story are not enough to weaken the work, which is an excellent addition to the Switch library.
