Though it may not be a remarkable adventure and doesn't extend itself for dozens of hours, Air Twister stands out as a fun and casual rail shooter with a modern approach to the '80s spirit. It's a perfect title for short gameplay bursts for high scores and content unlocking, but keep in mind repetitiveness is a factor always present in this war.

The Talos Principle 2 is a unique experience in the way it presents dilemmas, builds the world and instigates the player with solid and challenging gameplay. It's just not impeccable due to minimal problems that make the game a little less fluid, such as extremely annoying bugs.

Slay the Princess is a deep and impactful visual novel that manages to discuss the subjective nature of existence in a sensible fashion. While its violent aspects may not be indicated for some people, this is a very high quality experience when combining all of its elements.

During its best moments, Jusant is simultaneously beautiful, memorable and deep. The short adventure brings few new mechanics beyond the initial ones but it's exactly this brevity that makes it not an issue and avoids pushing the game down into monotony. Climbing the Tower is a narrative progress that further compelled me to find out what was on the top; I must say I left this adventure satisfied and moved.

Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery aims to entertain and make you laugh in a light and silly way, with no intention of surprising or challenging with its investigation mechanics. The focus is all on the absurd narrative, really funny for those who like this type of naive comedy with eccentric characters, which should especially appeal to children. The package compiles the three cases and brings a scooter minigame that can be fun for a while, but not much. The new feature of the console version is the Brazilian Portuguese localization, present on all platforms.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is interesting, but niche. Anyone who is a fan of both the survival genre and Lord of the Rings will find a gameplay title that will require dozens of hours to be properly explored, especially with other players in multiplayer. However, it is worth highlighting that, for the uninitiated, there are other more innovative and/or inviting options.

Dead Island 2: Haus fulfills the function of expanding the bizarre universe created by Dambuster well, however, its biggest sin is presenting so little, considering the size of the potential, both narratively and in mechanics. Almost nothing in Haus really stands out as a big new feature beyond the base game. Its story is interesting and maintains the acid tone of comedy and criticism, adding areas with more terrifying and dark visuals, but little aligns with the expectations created with the end of the campaign.

Headbangers: Rhythm Royale has an undeniable charisma, but it is held hostage by the content entirely focused on a single mode and the simplistic presentation. Who knows, perhaps after the release of some content packs and extra minigames it will become more attractive, as new game modes seem unlikely.

Crymachina has an interesting world but that is not enough to make it a highlight due to its tiresome and boring gameplay. It's honestly difficult to recommend it to those who love action RPGs with so many good examples of the genre in the market, but those who get to love the characters' stories may still enjoy it.

Mail Time is not perfect and perhaps that is where its charm lies. It doesn't care about being polished or accurate, it just wants to deliver a smooth adventure for players to enjoy without rushing. Furthermore, there are still some things that need to be fixed, especially in the PS4 version.

I hope we see more games along the lines of careful remakes, attentive to detail and refreshing as happened with Star Ocean: The Second Story R. Even without matching the visual standards of the most recent AAA games, the recreation choices hit the nail on the head in ways to value everything that the original already had that was good and adjusts the problems, even if it doesn't perform miracles with the chaotic combat.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 raises the bar for games based on comic book heroes, establishing itself as a reference in the genre. This is due to an exquisite script, consistent gameplay and an immersive environment that keeps us entertained from start to finish, from the moment we launch the first web into the air.

The effort behind Little Goody Two Shoes is impressive. This is a game that manages to take advantage of all the unique aspects of its predecessor, but, above all, offers a unique and very well-thought-out experience with its simulation mechanics. If you are curious about dark stories about young girls who end up getting involved in a supernatural world without being fully aware of the implications, this is a game that is frankly unmissable.

Despite the simplicity and linearity of the campaign, Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story gets the setting and plot right, mainly due to its captivating characters. The friendship between the protagonists is presented in a charming way, instigating curiosity in the same way that the energetic boy is attracted to adventures throughout the game.

Life of Delta is an efficient and charismatic point and click adventure in its simplicity. The lean context helps maintain the rhythm of the tale of a robot who wants to save his friend and the beautiful painted scenes do a good job of bringing the player closer to the world of Delta, but don't expect mysteries, twists and explanations of the story of this post-modern apocalyptic dystopia. Just enjoy the puzzles and move forward in the metallic skin of the tiny and very human service robot.

Haunted House is a good way to reinvent a 1980s classic, with a cool diversity of elements. However, it is in a middle ground of not being a roguelike that captures the attention of fans of the genre, but also does not relieve those who are not familiar with the style. In other words, if you enter this mansion, make sure you won't give up easily.

LunarLux is a lovely indie RPG with well-explored story and gameplay elements, drawing inspiration from classics without trying to be a shallow copy of them. The result is enticing and one of my favorite experiences this year, though it's a shame the Portuguese translation didn't have the care it deserved.

Sonic Superstars arrives with the promise of reviving the classic 2D essence of the series and, in some aspects, manages to deliver a satisfying experience. However, the game is marred by a number of issues, such as unfair obstacles, stages that seem to lack cohesion, and frustrating boss battles that drag on. In the end, Sonic Superstars presents an unstable balance, making the experience less exciting than fans of the blue hedgehog expected.

Ghostrunner 2 was developed as an honest sequel for those who became fans of the series in 2020 and now have the opportunity to once again wield a sonic blade to dismember enemies and perform impressive movements to walk through the psychedelic settings of a cyberpunk world with interesting stories to tell and more bodies to tear apart. The sequel is a welcome evolution of its predecessor, with substantial improvements to gameplay and visual aspects, maintaining the thrilling action that characterizes the series, while providing a more controlled and manageable pace. It's a sequel that should please both fans of the first game and new players looking for action and challenge.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged firmly reinforces everything good that the first game had already brought, with some cool improvements, but without drastic changes. Toy car fanatics may even find strange the lack of one or another model at first, but this does not take away the shine of all the initial content, not to mention that many of these absences will probably be covered by future expansions.
