Total Tank Generals is an enjoyable hex-based turn-based strategy game set during World War II that follows the journey of three of its key military commanders. The game serves more as an introduction to the world of turn-based hex strategy. It can challenge you, it can entertain you, and it can even make you worry about your veteran units and the need to strategize, but it won’t evoke the same deep emotional impact as other titles.

Overall, Teamfight Manager offers a laid-back management experience with bright and cheerful graphics. While it doesn’t feature character customization or in-match interactivity, it still delivers an entertaining and accessible level of strategic gameplay. You manage your team, train players, and decide on their skills. You earn experience and rewards for victories, which allow you to progress in the game. Despite some limitations, Teamfight Manager is an accessible and enjoyable management title that will appeal to a wider audience.

Street Fighter 6 offers players the chance to create their own avatar and explore an open world in World Tour mode, reminiscent of the Yakuza series. Players can complete side missions, collect items, and battle various enemies. During World Tour, they can also train with legendary heroes and learn new fighting skills. The Battle Hub is a public space where players can meet and compete against other players. The game also features a classic battle mode and the option to play on the Steam Deck. Overall, Street Fighter 6 offers fans of the series a diverse and entertaining experience.

Gibbon: Beyond the Trees is an endless runner, but with an unconventional hero and an environmental message. You’ll quickly get the hang of the gameplay, which is based on a surprisingly fun, fluid swinging mechanic, and even after a few hours, you’ll still want to keep improving. That said, the game is otherwise rather light on content, so you might want to consider picking it up on sale.

Another game set in the Cthulhu universe feels like something a dog and a cat might have cooked up. It’s a fleeting distraction that’s quickly replaced by boredom. Although it has an interesting concept, it leaves you wondering why it was released in the first place. I think the coming months will show whether the developers will fill the game with enough interesting content, or whether it will fade into obscurity.

We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie is a well-crafted remaster of the original 2005 game, which will particularly delight die-hard fans of the Katamari series and offer a bit of a trip down memory lane to the days of the PlayStation 2. If you played the original, you should definitely pick up the remaster without a second thought. However, the gameplay is marred by a few shortcomings, most notably the clunky controls, which will take some getting used to in the PC version. On behalf of us at Gaming Professors, I’m giving We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie a solid seven out of ten.

Convergence: A League of Legends Story is a fantastic 2D action platformer with an excellent combat system and even better platforming sections. The game surpasses other titles from Riot Forge in almost every way. Once you immerse yourself in the story, it will draw you in, and the action sequences will keep you hooked, refusing to let you return to reality. With its story, Convergence serves as a great bridge to the champion character and the original League of Legends game. After finishing the game, you’ll truly feel like you understand the character better and will definitely find them more likable. We therefore recommend the game to anyone who loves action and enjoys a challenge.

The story of Planet of Lana takes a surprising turn, shifting from an idyllic life in harmony with nature to an unexpected attack by unwelcome visitors from outer space. Lana is the only one who manages to escape the enemy robots, and with the help of a cute creature named Mui, she sets off on an adventure full of logic puzzles and tricky obstacles. Their cooperation and abilities are key to overcoming all the pitfalls and saving the villagers. The game offers not only an emotional storyline and an engaging adventure, but also stunning visuals with amazing music that completes the atmosphere. Although the title isn’t without its minor flaws and some sections can be frustrating to get through, this adventure is a completely unique experience full of emotion and beauty.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is by far the best first-person shooter set in the Warhammer universe, but more importantly, it’s also an excellent game in its own right. The boomer shooter subgenre has been bustling in recent years, and many titles boast high quality, yet Boltgun still shines a mile away from the competition, just like a space Ultramarine.

Ghost of Tsushima is a polished game with a compelling story, stunning visuals, and engaging mechanics. Its atmosphere will immediately draw you in. Its main strength lies in the ability to choose your own fighting style and its rich combat system, though toward the end, it may not be as challenging for some players.

Gnosia is a huge surprise. I didn’t expect anything from it at first, but I ended up discovering that it’s a fantastic single-player game about identity that I couldn’t get enough of for hours on end. A perfect premise, brilliant interweaving of time loops, incredibly intelligent AI, interesting conversations, and almost real detective work aimed at finding Gnosia will captivate just about anyone. Above all, the opportunity to experience some loops from a different perspective—when the player becomes an “alien”—is thrilling. So if I have to find fault with the game, it’s the repetitive controls and the gameplay involving a ton of text. You can’t read it endlessly without taking breaks, just as you sometimes get bored of constantly clicking the mouse on the same thing, because there’s nothing else to do. But then come the perfect visuals, which magically glue your eyes to the screen.

Miasma Chronicles is an enjoyable isometric tactical RPG set in a rather original post-apocalyptic setting. During combat, you have the option to make things easier on yourself by quietly eliminating some of the diverse range of enemies from ambush. When it comes to the main battle against an entire group, it follows the classic turn-based combat formula, which is a well-established standard for this genre and works well. Compared to other titles in the same genre, however, the selection of skills for your characters is somewhat limited. The locations you’ll explore are truly diverse and appealing; each has its own charm and, thanks to the sound design, a distinctive atmosphere. However, interaction with the environment and other characters is somewhat weak, and while the dialogues include choices, they don’t have a significant impact on the story’s progression. If you enjoyed Mutant Year Zero and are a fan of tactical turn-based RPGs, Miasma Chronicles will definitely keep you entertained.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum definitely shouldn't have seen the light of day in this form, especially at the suggested retail price. Honestly, even if the game cost a tenth of that, it would still be too much. Ugly graphics, clunky controls, and a stupid camera. Aside from the story and the music, I can only recall negative experiences with this game, and I’m really sorry about that. Gollum truly deserved something a little better.

Contraband Police is a border guard simulator that really hits the mark. The game’s atmosphere is top-notch (the sound design plays a significant role in this), and one of its major strengths is its refusal to fall into gaming clichés. The story is weaker, and there are no cinematic cutscenes, but on the other hand, the setting of a communist state and the moral dilemmas are portrayed brilliantly for younger players. Some mechanics still need work, but I would personally buy the final product.

The Tenants is a management simulation game in which you play the role of a wealthy entrepreneur who must rise from nothing to the top of the social ladder. Work your fingers to the bone, take on jobs, satisfy your clients’ needs, and save up capital to buy your own properties, which you’ll then fill with tenants to secure a passive income. The game piles a ton of responsibility on your shoulders, which can get tedious after a few hours due to the repetitive gameplay.

Lego 2K Drive is an exciting, creative—albeit repetitive—racing game set in a vibrant open world, filled with tasks and challenges that are thoroughly infused with Lego elements. On the other hand, it is brought down by a very poorly implemented split screen (at least in the PC version) and the microtransaction aspects typical of free-to-play titles, primarily because the game is geared more toward a younger audience and thus fails to reach its full potential.

We highly recommend Fly Corp as a relaxing game; it’s also ideal for casual play, since completing missions doesn’t take much time. You’ll learn the locations of the world’s largest cities and pick up a bit about travel strategy and geography. The experience is quite relaxing, and you can choose to travel around the world with your company. However, you must also expect losses and disasters, which no company can avoid. Either way, if you enjoy traveling, planning, or strategy, you’ll simply love this game.

Lil Gator is a short, charming game with a main story that lasts just under four hours. You’ll definitely love exploring every corner of the island and making new friends. We all have to grow up eventually, but Lil Gator is a wonderful reminder of why we should never completely stop being kids.

As the debut title from a New Zealand studio, DREDGE has won the hearts of many players with its masterful atmosphere, its incentive to explore a visually intriguing world, and its immersive story. This fishing simulator, which combines Lovecraftian horror, logical thinking, quick reflexes, and a relaxing experience, will particularly appeal to more demanding players. Despite the excellent first impression, however, I feel that the developers could have squeezed much more out of the game, as they simply didn’t fully realize its potential.

Timberborn is undoubtedly one of the best building strategy games out there. The developers really put a lot of effort into the game, and the content will keep players entertained for dozens of hours while also making them think. That’s what I call the perfect combination. I’m also very curious to see how the developers will handle the game going forward and whether we can expect any substantial updates with new content.
