Castle Morihisa is a real visual gem. The controls are simple and easy to grasp. My only criticism of this game is that when you finish it, you get points that are completely useless (you can’t buy anything with them or unlock anything new). Your only satisfaction, then, is that you’ve successfully finished the game. Then you can pick another character and try again.

Deadlink is a first-person action shooter that combines roguelike elements with a gripping story. Set in a cyberpunk world, you play as an agent sent on a dangerous mission to destroy corrupt conglomerates. Thanks to a detailed codex that provides information on characters, enemies, weapons, and upgrades, the story is surprisingly well-developed. The gameplay is reminiscent of classic 90s arena shooters like DOOM and Quake, but it’s enhanced with great features. The unique combination of fast-paced, dynamic action with roguelike mechanics sets Deadlink apart from other games in the genre. Overall, it’s a very promising title.

Metal Unit is a game that could have risen with the sun and reaped the rewards. Unfortunately, the game’s absurdly generic story, controls that are unfriendly to keyboard players, and nerve-grating music do more harm than good. However, its strengths remain: great action, weapon combinations, rogue-lite elements, accessible pixel art, and a constant urge to push forward from one mission to the next.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom offers a vast world full of activities that encourage exploration and discovery. A standout feature is the ability to express your own creativity by crafting all sorts of inventions, upgrading weapons, and solving puzzles—all wrapped up in an exciting story. Your possibilities are nearly limitless, and Nintendo takes the Zelda series to the next level once again.

LIVE A LIVE is yet another title making a major comeback. This legendary JRPG will captivate you not only with its gameplay and presentation across several distinct storylines, but also with its visuals and audio. The game’s setting, which spans the time periods in which the various events take place, is superb, and everything is complemented by an amazing soundtrack. Turn-based battles do require a bit of patience and strategic thinking, but once you get into them, you’ll enjoy every battle and the subsequent sense of victory.

This game is definitely for all H. P. Lovecraft fans, but others are sure to find something to enjoy here as well. That might include puzzles of varying difficulty that will take you longer than you expected and really make you think. Horror lovers will certainly appreciate the terrifying atmosphere, the well-crafted story, a few good jump scares, and monsters that literally step out of your nightmares. The mysterious atmosphere of this enigmatic island is enhanced by music that evokes a sense of anxiety and paints a picture of the all-encompassing horror that surrounds you. The graphics are absolutely incredible. You feel as if you’re standing there, with the sea breeze about to brush your face at any moment. Everything here is gloomy and dark—simply Lovecraftian.

Redfall is, in a word, a disaster. It takes less than twenty hours to finish, even if you complete every single quest. The price is exorbitant, the technical performance is terrible, the visuals are outdated, the optimization is bizarre, the gameplay is incredibly repetitive, the co-op is half-baked, the bosses are as easy as the game itself, and there’s plenty more I’ve mentioned above. The only real standout features are the skill tree, the good voice acting, and the origin of the vampires. But when I consider that this is a AAA game from a studio that has consistently made great games, it’s just disheartening. Personally, I don’t recommend this game, though I can’t rule out the possibility that they might still be working on it. But who knows—Arkane is already planning its next AAA title.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox generated a lot of hype, but unfortunately, it failed to live up to expectations. The game falls short in many key areas and clearly suffered from insufficient testing prior to release. It’s certainly not a perfect game, but on the other hand, I don’t think it leaves a purely negative impression. Hopefully, upcoming updates will resolve these issues, and I would recommend waiting until then to try the game, because it definitely has a lot to offer.

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is an action-packed brawler that will captivate you with its gameplay mechanics and visuals. As soon as you start the game, the action will draw you in so completely that you won’t want to stop. The developers have once again chosen an excellent storyline and managed to craft it into a compelling narrative. The only things that detract from the game’s appeal are the lengthy dialogues and pointless DLC. So if you’re interested in League of Legends, or simply love action-packed rogue-like titles, we highly recommend this game.

Minecraft Legends is a decent game overall, and despite some shortcomings, it can keep you entertained for a few hours. The game relies primarily on its charm and colorful visuals. Given its simplicity, I would recommend it to a younger audience, who can really enjoy it together with their families.

All in all, Tchia isn’t a bad game, but it’s primarily intended for players who enjoy exploration and want to relax while playing. New Caledonia certainly has a certain charm, and Tchia’s setting sets it apart from other games with a similar focus. However, even that exotic charm isn’t enough to ensure the game offers long-term entertainment or to mask the boring and repetitive activities—though, on the other hand, there aren’t actually that many of them. Despite all that, Tchia manages to be somewhat engaging in its own way, and we’re giving it six and a half out of ten points.

Home Sweet Home is a horror game that will give you quite a few good scares. However, there are also moments when you’ll just have had enough of the game. For me personally, that was the sound of Bellino’s saw—it’s going to haunt me for weeks to come. If you love folklore, legends, and mysterious stories, and you want to get really scared in the process, Home Sweet Home is just for you. So don’t wait—go help Tim save his beloved Jane.

The Last Spell is definitely not the easiest game, but every time you fail, you’ll come back a little more experienced and even more determined to succeed this time. With six difficulty levels, this game is perfect even for the most die-hard hardcore gamers. Take on the role of a leader and save the world from destruction.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is a well-crafted DLC where everything runs smoothly. While there aren’t many new features, they’re entertainingly blended with what we know from the base game, so the action flows beautifully. Combat and exploration haven’t lost any of their appeal, and the adventure with Seyka is equally engaging. As players, you’ll get another expansion of this beautiful world where you’ll definitely never get bored—and that’s an offer you can’t refuse.

All in all, Life of Delta offers a pleasant and relaxing adventure game that won’t make you think too hard, but might just test your patience. Set against a beautiful hand-drawn backdrop, the story is a bit shallow and comes with a few annoyances when it comes to controls. If you can overlook these minor issues, Life of Delta will captivate you with a diverse range of relatively easy mini-games and, as a bonus, includes a Slovak localization.

Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly is an improved sequel to the original game in every respect. So here, too, there’s no point in rushing through it—instead, savor the story bit by bit and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere. If the developers release a third installment and polish up the final details, Coffee Talk could become a truly delightful, relaxing trilogy.

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is a well-crafted open-world RPG inspired by a fantastic board game. The combination of the dark and gritty world of King Arthur with Skyrim-style gameplay is a success and works well. There’s a truly gritty atmosphere in certain situations that will definitely win you over. If you can overlook the game’s minor bugs, weaker graphics, and not-so-smart enemies, it’s a great experience with excellent gameplay that’s definitely worth your time.

Terra Nil is sure to satisfy all fans of city-building strategy games and will certainly appeal to casual players as well. Try the exact opposite of building massive cities: among their ruins, attempt to restore a healthy ecosystem to a devastated land for an unknown civilization. The game focuses on the theme of ecology while engaging your logical thinking in an engaging, relaxing, and entertaining way. I simply fell in love with this game, which is why I’m so disappointed that it doesn’t currently offer more, because I’d love to spend even more of my time immersed in it.

City Bus Manager is the first game from Aerosoft in quite some time that has managed to pleasantly surprise me in many ways and put me in a positive frame of mind, making me think that the quality of games from this publisher might not be so bad after all. City Bus Manager is a simple and easy-to-understand management game that doesn’t aim for ultra-realism, but on the other hand offers decent management fun that you’ll appreciate, for example, as a way to relax after a hard day’s work. In addition, the game offers several surprising innovations, such as the implementation of OpenStreetMap, which provides you with a real-world map featuring actual city names and bus stops. We’ll see where the game goes in a few months, but even in early access, City Bus Manager simply managed to captivate me, and if, for example, you’re looking for a logical yet not too challenging game for kids, this title might be just the thing. On behalf of us at Gaming Professors, I’m giving the game eight out of ten points.

Anglerfish was a very pleasant surprise. I love its art style and sense of humor. It always managed to surprise me with something new, whether it was a different way to die or some small twist. By the end, I was actually sad that it was over. I definitely recommend this game.
