It doesn't matter how good you are at shooting, the secondary weapons are what will be the deciding factor on when your eventual death comes.
StarCraft Remastered is still just as fantastic and compelling to play as it was nearly 20 years ago.
Overall F1 2017 took that momentum from 2016 and built on it to create an excellent experience.
White Day: A Labyrinth Called School has a strong and very compelling narrative. Finding out the school's hidden secrets and more about the ghouls that meander the halls will be a riveting experience to gamers.
Daedalic has a strong reputation, and they've maintained it with this release.
Even if it can't quite measure up to Yakuza 0's near-perfection, Yakuza Kiwami is still a thoroughly enjoyable experience for series veterans and newcomers alike.
Simple yet cute, and they often brought a smile to my face.
This is Naughty Dog at their AAA best.
Taking these Agents out on missions starts out fun, but quickly goes repetitive.
The Long Dark is a tense and harrowing experience both in Story and Survival modes.
This makes this Madden feel more like a Madden for everyone, not just for those tournament and league diehards.
Ninja Theory has delivered a game that is equally good and important for the industry in terms of serious storytelling and the ability to create AAA experiences at a low cost.
What starts out as poorly articulated, corny dialogue starts to feel very fitting of the environment as you begin to realize everyone is only a fragment of themselves.
Bottom line, while the art may have seen a drastic change the gameplay largely remains the same. The simplicity in controls allows for focus to remain on one's opponent. That simple style keeps things fun. The stages are constructed well enough that you never feel cheated by the environment, helping to zoom in even more on player vs. player combat.
Episode 2 is a huge letdown compared to the solid beginnings of Episode 1.
Anyone who misses the glory days of Metroid should really give Matterfall a closer look.
The controls can feel clunky at times, requiring the player to lay off the accelerator if they want to fire a weapon and turn at the same time, an odd mechanic in a game about speed and destruction.
Contrary to its name, Original Journey is far from an original adventure, offering little to motivate players to see its campaign through.
Every stage is a carefully-crafted explosion of looping paths and intricate patterns.
Miitopia is not going to be for everyone. On one hand, it has a quirky charm to it that some gamers will love. The little comments the Mii's make, the ability to cast the various characters in the game, the vast assortment of outfits and weapons (silly and otherwise). For some gamers, this will be like curling up with a warm cup of cocoa. For other gamers, it will be fun for a couple hours, and then just become painfully boring and repetitive.
