The sense of survival in The Flame in the Flood is palatable and players will do well to be prepared for what's around every corner.
While it's a pretty simple strategy game, so don't expect the satisfaction that you get from Fire Emblem or Disgaea from these battles, there are some new touches that add some much needed depth to the formula.
I have no complaints about the plot, but some of the game's dialogue is pretty bad.
Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is not exactly the biggest step forward developer PopCap Games could have taken, but it builds on a solid foundation and for now reclaims its original and unique feeling in the realm of multiplayer shooters.

Few games have made exploring an open world this much fun, and the last time I enjoyed searching areas for collectibles this much was in Infamous: Second Son.
I honestly believe that while this game didn't need a multiplayer experience, it would have benefited greatly from a story mode.
Around the 11 or 12th level is where it feels like you've hit a wall with the game. Expect to die a lot in Not a Hero.
But LEGO Marvel's Avengers is a step above its predecessors in its ability puts you in the shoes of the superheroes you love.
