Monster Truck Championship is one of the best experiences of its kind. Although this aspect is not significant, as there is that much competition, the title presents a gameplay that is fun and realistic enough to please a wide range of players. However, we could not find justifications for those who already have the title of Playstation 4 or Xbox One, to buy this new version.

Monster Truck Championship is pretty easy to pick up, despite its vehicles being quite different from most traditional racing games. The events and options are fun enough, and I thoroughly enjoyed the career mode as it provided me an opportunity to unlock more content. That being said, the production values are simply good, not great and the pacing of the larger trucks and slower events may not appeal to all fans of racing games, as some people simply want to go as fast as possible and not worry about things like tricks or damage bonuses. Monster Truck Championship is not going to be for every racing gamer out there, but I came away having enjoyed my time with it.
I’m never going to consider myself a monster truck fan, yet I really enjoyed my time with this. I can see why gamers love the genre, and how they easily get addicted to each game. Other than its lame audio and OTT rumbling, I believe Monster Truck Championship offers a better and more rounded experience than Monster Jam Steel Titans 2, and I recommend buying it here! Start your career, choose your team members and race, smash and destroy everything in your path.
Monster Truck Championship is a relatively new entry in the racing sim genre. While we’ve had monster truck games in the past across a bevy of platforms, Monster Truck Championship prides itself by being a racing sim to the core in order to offer racing and monster truck fans a (virtual) realistic experience of driving a big ol’ monster truck. So how does this racer stack up? Let’s find out!
Monster Truck Championship doesn’t take as much advantage of the next-gen consoles as I’d have liked, but it still offers a fun racing experience that fans of monster trucks are sure to enjoy. There’s a satisfying sense of progress to the career, the different race types are fun, whilst there’s online multiplayer on offer for those who want their muddy showdowns to take place against real-life players. It might not have the depth seen in similar titles in the genre, but there’s still plenty here to enjoy as you work to become the BEST monster truck driver around; just expect more style that substance when it comes to the game’s next-gen improvements.
Monster Truck Championship is a title that aims at a certain type of passionate audience of the genre that manages to entertain for a few hours even if after some time it could be repetitive due to the few possibilities made available to the user even counting a low level of difficulty.

Teyon’s Monster Truck Championship succeeds as a result of its excellent handling model, which makes every race and every event a fun experience, free of the frustration that more sim-style racers can often elicit. Whilst it features a somewhat sparse range of modes, meaning you’re unlikely to stick with it long-term, it’s a really good arcade-style game that you can chuck on for 20-30 minutes every so often and pretty much be guaranteed an enjoyable time.
So overall, Teyon and Nacon’s Monster Truck Championship is a lot of fun. The controls make it rather easy to get into and with how short the championships are, it’s easy to play a few in between a variety of scenarios such as before or after dinner or while waiting for laundry to be done. The boring adult stuff that we all have to take care of. Want to play longer than that though? There’s no shortage of challenges both online against other players or offline against the CPU putting this probably into my surprise hit of the year for CGR’s 2020 Games of the Year!
Monster Truck Championship is a different take on a racing simulation, there are so many different tracks to race on, and the feel to it is definitely superior to previous monster truck games that have been released before out there.
Monster Truck Championship is alright, I think it’s a decent foundation that could be built upon towards stronger follow-ups. I was fairly impressed by the visual style, and the customization.

I don’t think I would have considered Monster Truck Championship such a disappointment if it wasn’t for the fact that Monster Jam Steel Titans exists. That game is simply superior in every single aspect, be it in terms of visuals, sound, controls, and overall content. Monster Truck Championship would have been a recommended title for monster truck enthusiasts if it wasn’t for the existence of its much superior main competitor.
