Eternal Threads Reviews
Eternal Threads is a game that shines in its storytelling and the way it approaches the butterfly effect, offering a rich experience for those who enjoy deep stories and exploring the nuances of human decisions. However, players looking for action or more dynamic challenges may find the pace of the game monotonous.

Eternal Threads is a wholly unique experience and one that I definitely recommend. That said, outside of snooping in the lives of six unsuspecting strangers there's not really any other elements to rope in gameplay-heavy players.
With it's well-constructed time manipulation mechanics and amazing voiceovers, Eternal Threads is a must have for fans of story-driven game.

Cosmonaut Studios may be minnows, but they have managed to create a title that stands tall amongst the best in the storytelling genre. Eternal Threads is a great experience that I can wholeheartedly recommend to both fans and skeptics of this type of game.
Eternal Threads redefines story-telling when it comes to time travel concept; and while it's not necessarily a bad game, it doesn't offer enough in terms of gameplay or visuals to be considered a memorable experience.

Eternal Threads has an intriguing idea at its core and its small scope means that it can introduce a lot of detail to a situation, challenging players to find out everything they can before making choices. It will be interesting to see if gamers actually connect with the characters as written or if they don’t bother to get the best outcomes for the entire cast.
In many ways, Eternal Threads is an interactive film rather than a game, which doesn't quite tell a conventional game or film story. Rather, it is a glimpse into the lives of six English tenants while you're trying to save their lives. So while the game probably won't win any prestigious awards, it will nevertheless stick in the memory for its almost uncanny ordinariness.

There are some cool ideas in Eternal Threads and a series of characters that I mostly liked spending time with. The mechanics work well, even If I’d have liked to see a little more puzzle-solving and interaction. When your whole game is built around its narrative, though, it’s an issue when so little of it comes together and leaves you with a satisfying conclusion. I wish I could recommend Eternal Threads as the actual process of playing through it is mostly entertaining enough, but, in the end, I was left wanting so much more.
There is a great potential here but the execution is quite lacking and not only in the the audio-visual presentation that is years behind but also the core gameplay which feels like it was sacrificed for the sake of narrative goals.

A few small gripes aside, Eternal Threads is a smart, uniquely structured and thoroughly enjoyable narrative adventure. By taking a trope that has become associated with the genre and owning it, the game feels fresh among the other games that attempt this concept too. If you enjoyed the likes of Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture or Tacoma, you’ll enjoy this.
Eternal Threads is a solid attempt from first-time developer Cosmonaut Games, presenting a sci-fi, time travelling mystery where you'll need to monitor how cause and effect influences the events around you. Its clear and engaging time manipulation mechanics make the meat of the game satisfying to engage with, and focusing it on the personal issues of everyday people grounds the experience. Despite the uneven presentation and lack of a major challenge, it makes for a worthwhile light puzzling experience.
Eternal Threads is a superb story-based adventure game that plays like a puzzle game thanks to the seamless dynamic narrative. The characters, voice acting, and environment are all fantastic, delivering a believable household in the North of England populated by a variety of strong personalities. Although I wasn’t fully satisfied with the final conclusion, I simply adored every second I played and found myself determined to save everyone in the best possible way as it’s what they deserved after everything they’re going through. I simply can’t recommend this game enough.
While it lacks a strong first impression, Eternal Threads offers a fun and unique narrative puzzle solving experience. Strong character writing makes it easy to dive into their week-long stories where one decision can change the life of everyone around the person who made it.
