Disgaea 6 Complete is a huge improvement on the Switch version of the game, and is worth diving into Dood!

Even though Disgaea 6 Complete brings in accessibility options, the game itself reacts negatively to some of them. A simplistic AI can't contend with automation, while the hefty price tag alone for a year old game makes this a hard pass. There are hints of fun here for a new player, but in making this game easier to play, Disgaea 6 Complete makes the franchise formula look antiquated.

Disgaea 6 Complete is the perfect strategy RPG package for fans of the franchise and those looking to get their tactical fix. It won't convert those who have bounced off previous titles, but that was never the developer's intention in the first place. It's a little rough around the edges, but Disgaea 6 provides an immensely satisfying experience to its niche audience, who wouldn't have it any other way.

This new entry into the Disgaea series makes some good changes with the 3D models and auto battler being particular highlights. Plus, the move to PC has fixed the various performance issues that were present on the Switch and having all of the DLC bundled together is a nice bonus. Even so, the overall package offers less value than its predecessors with it having fewer classes, weaker characters, and a general lack of gameplay innovation. Disgaea 6 Complete is still a decent entry, but it's also a step back when compared to both Disgaea 4 and Disgaea 5.

If you’re just here to play Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny on a platform you actually own, by all means, go for it. The game is a delight that series fans shouldn’t miss. But if you own a PlayStation, buy Disgaea 6: Complete on that and not PC. Your eyes and fingers will thank you for it

Disgaea 6 on PS5 and PS4 is just a simple port as we see trucks. The game takes advantage of the power of consoles, certainly, but is not very greedy anyway and the improvements are almost imperceptible.

The last chapter of nippon Ichi's crazy strategic series arrives on Sony consoles (European) and on PC with a revised and corrected edition that makes you forget the technical problems seen on Switch. The Complete Edition of Disgaea 6 includes all the characters inserted through the DLC, further enriching - as if there were a need - a deep and multifaceted gameplay, which in its latest iteration takes on the contours of an absurd and calculated management.

Disgaea 6 Complete is, overall, a stronger entry in the series than the original Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, yet still leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to game balance, quality of life, and ease of use. The many game mechanics are simply too varied and plentiful, and while the game’s cast and plot are a fun ride, the best of them are left as afterthoughts as part of the pack-in DLC. The performance and stability fixes will be welcomed by those who struggled with the Switch port, as the powerful PS5 and PCs run the game with ease. I would say fans of SRPGs should definitely give Disgaea 6 Complete a spin, but expect a devilishly cheeky time that does not conform to the genre’s traditional values.

While there were key elements that could be ironed out when it first was released for Nintendo Switch, there's a bevy of underlying issues that has stayed with the core structure.

Disgaea 6 Complete doesn't really shake up the original's formula, but it's still a good time. Sure, character models look pretty bland and animate weirdly, but the humour and general atmosphere is still great. The only real problem with Disgaea 6 Complete is the lack of options in character classes.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is simultaneously cliche and transgressive, offering refreshing takes on genre conventions while still reliant on them. Its expanded gameplay systems can be mind-numbing to newcomers, but longtime franchise fans will find an unrivaled buffet of content to grind through.

Looking at Disgaea 6 Complete is somewhat complex as a longtime fan of the franchise. It is undeniable that it brings a series of quality of life improvements and is more accessible to new players, but the simplification of important mechanics and a story that fails to excite make it a generic title, able to please at certain times, but nothing remarkable.

Disgaea 6 Complete is not a bad game by any means. It has everything that made the series successful for fans, with even more accessibility. Everything is bigger and more expansive, which causes it to distract from what should be the real fun. The auto-battles are great for busy gamers who can't invest 10 hours to grind, but also take away a lot of the motivation. Story and characters are unfortunately the weakest aspects of the series for me, which is why I can only recommend the game to die-hard fans. For everyone else, there is a demo.

Disgaea 6 Complete takes players on another off-beat quest into the Netherworld with all the shenanigans one could expect from the series. From its upbeat take on the afterlife to a gallery of colorful characters, this is truly a worthy entry in the most evilest JRPG series.

While Nippon Ichi Software’s Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny was good, Disgaea 6 Complete takes it that next step for another fantastic, and more definitive, experience. This is especially the case for long term fans of the series that may not have gone over to the Nintendo Switch and stayed with Sony’s PlayStation where this series has always been. So if you haven’t yet had the chance to jump onto this latest SRPG, now’s your chance doods!

Disgaea 6 Complete brings with it a fundamental evolution to the strategy RPG series. With the possibility of automating combat, it has never been so easy to dive in and enjoy the rewarding feeling of the series. For people who never played any of the previous games and veterans who are running a little short on time alike, there's no doubt this is the ideal entry in the Disgaea franchise.

Disgaea 6 Complete is the ideal way to play Disgaea 6. While your enjoyment of it will depend on whether you’re open to a simpler and more streamlined version of Disgaea, if you’re cool with it, you’ll find a robust and exciting SRPG experience to sink your teeth into. And hey, if you’re new to Disgaea, this is a brilliant way to dip your toe into the wonderfully frantic grindfest.

While the change from 2D to 3D graphics was not to everyone's liking, for fans Disgaea 6 Complete represents that favorite dish you always order at the same restaurant, now with a slightly different flavor. Even with some modifications to (at least) get newcomers to complete the main story, those who are not fans of the property will most likely not be converted. It is, however, still a good video game and a good experience for those who enjoy tactical RPGs.

During the more than thirty hours that Disgaea 6 Complete promises to keep us glued to the screen, we will have the pleasure of enjoying a new adventure that maintains the level to which Nippon Ichi Software has accustomed us. Some nice graphics, decent audio, English subtitles, which must be taken into account, and some characters and combat that are the best of the saga.
