Dead Space wins on its top tier presentation alone, and although it can sometimes feel like that's the main contributor that's modernising the experience, there's a great novelty and appeal to some of its, should we say, relics to game design of the past. Chiefly, relics that are of a focused, directed single-player experience that don't overstay their welcome and don't manipulate the player beyond the experience itself.
Even beyond being a remake, it’s just a damn, damn good survival horror game in its own right, and easily one of the best in terms of atmosphere and survival elements since perhaps 2014’s Alien: Isolation. This package as a whole is just such an incredible feat that I can hardly believe it exists at all, and will be returning to it over and over again, I can promise you that. If you love Dead Space, or survival horror in general, this isn’t just one not to miss, it’s a necessity to pick it up. Praise be to Altman, God damn they did it.
Dead Space Remake is without a doubt one of the best Remakes in gaming history. From Visuals to Atmosphere, almost every aspect of the game is flawless. if you liked the Original game, you are going to love this high quality Remake.

EA and Motive have pulled a blinder here. Dead Space not only faithfully remakes the original, it exceeds it in quality and expands it in a way that supremely enhances the experience. They took many risks like giving Isaac a voice and revamping the Ishimura's structure, but these gambles have paid off tenfold. Players familiar and unfamiliar with the original will have a fantastic time exploring this classic Sci-Fi horror game. Highly recommended!
Dead Space is more than just the fantasy of any fan of the original game – it feels like the developers once again wanted to prove that their game is the gold standard in its genre. The fine folks at Motive Studio tweaked the experience in the right places to make the game feel fresh without weighing it down with unnecessary bling.
Whatever impact Dead Space had when it came out in 2008, there is no doubt that it will have a similar effect for new players in 2023. A game could be faithful and improved so much at the same time.

Dead Space Remake returns in a unique glow. The game is scary again, looks great and will provide players with a whole lot of fun. The main plot ends a little quickly, but it's definitely worth getting acquainted with this title again.

While much of the game will be familiar to those who have played the original, the meaningful updates and additions go a long way to keep the experience feeling fresh, modern and unpredictable. Dead Space (2023) takes the original's stellar experience into the modern age with excellent atmosphere, additional narrative content, level-design tweaks, and a few surprises to keep the flayed flesh fresh.
It's extremely difficult to not gush about Dead Space Remake because it does everything right. As much as I love Resident Evil 2's remake, it's fundamentally a very different game from the original. Dead Space Remake is a loyal and loving remake that captures everything that was good about the original, while fixing almost everything that was bad. It's easily the gold standard for how to remake a beloved game, and it's easily as good as Capcom's efforts. If you were a fan of the original, Dead Space Remake is a must-play, and if you're interested in experiencing it for the first time, the remake is the best option.
The Dead Space remake fixes a lot of the 2008 original's problems, but leaves a couple of big ones right where they were.
The Dead Space remake brings to life everything we loved about the original game. You will still be absorbed by the atmosphere and the fight against the Necromorphs. Now also with some improvements and new content.

Dead Space marks the triumphant return of a franchise that didn't deserve the end it had years ago. It's been a long time since a game kept me glued to the TV for so many hours in a row and that's actually for a game that is quite simple in terms of RPG elements and gameplay. Each chapter lasts an hour and with 12 chapters you can calculate it. Add to that some optional side quests and you have a few extra hours. From the first minute you notice that the tension is already good, but it helps when you close the curtains, turn up the sound and especially play alone. The atmosphere is the strong point of Dead Space

Dead Space has a wonderful story full of emotional moments, in addition to a fun gameplay, stage design, and an environment that exceeds beauty that contains a lot of terror, but its shortcomings are shown with the way the hero deals with events, but the stability and strength of the various game elements made this point negligible.

The Dead Space Remake is a superb recreation of a survival horror classic. It enhances the original game, while also being faithful to it’s story and setting, implementing a slew of new features and visual upgrades to make the game feel incredibly modern. It’s undoubtedly the best way to experience Dead Space, whether you’re jumping in for the first time or wanting to relive the story. The original still holds up pretty well to this day, and some say it didn’t require a remake, but the series certainly deserved some new love, and this is just the way to get the ball rolling again for the Dead Space franchise. I’m excited to see EA placing more faith in their single player offerings and I hope this spawns a new entry in the franchise or remakes of sequel Dead Space titles.
