SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake Reviews
Overall, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a fun 3D platformer that will appeal primarily to a younger audience or those that are fans of the SpongeBob franchise. It doesn’t do anything too groundbreaking when it comes to the platforming genre but does provide some visually diverse environments to explore and plenty of references to the series that lead to a great deal of laugh out loud moments. It’s great that it’s fully voiced and that the original voice actors are reprising their roles. It feels like a real celebration of the SpongeBob franchise as a whole and I’m still very much onboard to play the next video game the series spawns.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a fun platformer for kids that plays it a just a bit too safe. It's definitely not groundbreaking in anyway, but still enjoyable.

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a fun 3D platformer that any fan of the series will enjoy to play. You can tell this game wasn’t a hastily thrown together, cheap cash in. The 10 hour platformer is charming and F.U.N. and it will definitely have you singing Sweet Victory.
Fans of the franchise may be eager to try out "SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake "and compare it to the series - to which they will be plenty delighted.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is not my usual game. However, variety is the spice of life, so when the chance came, I thought, why not. And so, with childish enthusiasm I loaded up the game and prepared to venture for a stroll through Bikini Bottom.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake takes a different look at the SpongeBob multiverse and while doing this, it manages to bring the old generation platform - adventure games to the new generation with improved controls.

Snappy dialogue brings the occasional laugh, and the experience remains pleasant enough throughout its entire runtime – but a devotion to the past, and a seeming lack of interesting ideas means The Cosmic Shake simply slides off the brain, like a passing thought.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a fun-to-play 3D platformer that gives a solid representation of the TV show. While I enjoy having a good family-friendly game to let the children play, there is no ground-breaking game mechanics as such, however, there is a lot of enjoyment to be had while trying to rescue all of your friends and restore Bikini Bottom.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a competent 3D platformer that doesn't reinvent the wheel, but provided plenty of fun.
Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake is the perfect example of a license being treated with the care, love and respect that it warrants. It’s a more than worthy successor to the brilliant Spongebob games of old and will appeal to fans of the series, old and new. While it won’t break new ground in the platforming space and it is disappointing we don’t have native current-gen support, I can’t imagine a spiritual successor to the likes of Battle of Bikini Bottom being made any better than what we have here.
While it could be more ambitious, especially when it concerns the difficulty level, it's also a very accessible and fun effort, with the original series' voice actors adding a perfect touch to an environment that's marvelously presented by the visual representation of Bikini Bottom.

"SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake" will probably only pick you up if you're twelve years old or a fan of the series - but that's everyone anyway. Either one or the other. In the unlikely event that you don't know the little sponge: Try it anyway, if typical comic humor is exactly your thing and you just want to dive into funny worlds for a few hours.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Cosmic Shake is a fun experience that captures the spirit of the series perfectly, but it’s a shame it doesn’t offer more variety and nuance in its gameplay. It’s very simple in design and lacks any real challenge, whilst I’d also argue the previous release (which was a remastered edition of a game from 2003) gave the player more freedom and diversity in how they play and explore the world. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad game by any means and I have no doubt that SpongeBob fans will love it, but it does mean that it might not really capture the imagination of platforming fans who are unfamiliar with the series. The game gets all of the basics spot on and deserves praise for that, but you shouldn’t expect it to do anything that’ll surprise you during its simplistic adventure.
It could have ended up with a boring, old-fashioned 3D platformer. However, the features for SpongeBob fans somehow turned the game's outdated style to feel like an old-school. If you can indulge in the series' humor and SpongeBob's new look, you will find some classical fun with this game.

The barebones nature of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is ultimately disappointing, especially when there is so much potential with the license. While it delivers the charm and characters from the beloved television series, the lack of creativity makes it a barely enjoyable video game experience. Even for the most ardent of fans, this is one game that should remain in a pineapple under the sea.
A solid sequel to compliment a wonderful franchise, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake offers a much more coherent adventure platformer than its predecessor. With each world feeling like it’s own TV episode, and a fun story throughout, there is a lot of fun to be had within this entry.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake delivers exactly what I'd hope for: a fun-filled new SpongeBob adventure that takes the gameplay, graphics and vibe of Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated to the next level.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is the Bikini Bottom gang's first original platform game in nearly eight years. So much time away from the genre could have thrown the franchise even deeper into the world of middling licensed games. Fortunately, this was not the path taken by the Purple Lamp studio. Although it has problems with the structure of its levels, the game has controls, challenges and gameplay progression that satisfy anyone looking for a fun game to play without compromise. Anyone who grew up with SpongeBob titles in the 2000s will feel right at home with this cosmic jolt.

Bringing an unprecedented adventure in the best cartoon style, SpongeBob: The Cosmic Shake is a competent platform game. The simple gameplay works well and offers all sorts of different challenges, even if generally not very challenging. The nice visuals and great voice acting make for a very entertaining story.

Although the outdated visuals, weird bugs, and technical mishaps do set the game back a bit, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is still an enjoyable but basic 3D platforming experience. It may not reinvent the wheel, and it feels like a game made during the PS2 era, but what it lacks in creativity is somewhat made up for by its solid platforming gameplay, humorous writing, and lovable cast of characters.
