Bayonetta 2 Reviews
Playing through Bayonetta 2 on Nintendo Switch allowed me to relive some of the most exhilarating, action-packed, hack-and-slash moments from the last decade of gaming. The framerate improvements alone make it a better experience than the Wii U version, and the amiibo-activated costumes at least put a fun spin on it even if there's no substantial new content for returning players. It's disappointing that the Switch version can't manage more than 720p on a big screen, but with that said, Bayonetta 2's fantastic art style holds up well.
Bayonetta 2 remains a phenomenal thrill-ride from start to finish, each new encounter you face more outrageous and epic than the last. The fact that you can now take this experience anywhere with you easily makes this ultimate version of the game. Sure, it may not dramatically alter the formula laid out in the original, but it’s still a bigger and better package overall and easily one of the best examples of its genre. The wait for Bayonetta 3 just got a whole lot tougher.
Despite being a three-plus-year-old port, Bayonetta 2 shines brightest on Nintendo Switch. It runs without a hitch at 60fps, looks incredible in both TV and tabletop modes and offers an addictive free-flowing combat formula that sprinkles in platforming, light exploration and a ridiculous story to create something that you simply need to experience. If you've never played it for before, you're in for a treat. If you've already played it, it's even more bewitching as a handheld gem.
Overall, I cannot recommend Bayonetta 2 enough, this is a game that every Nintendo enthusiast and gamer should have in their collection. This game is a technical achievement in game design and has the pacing of classic video games that have defined a generation such as Ocarina of Time and Resident Evil 4. Bayonetta looks great, sounds great, and plays great. It's without a doubt, one of the greatest action games in the past decade.
Bayonetta 2 remains a niche title that will annoy some and be loved by others. Some of its mechanics have been left untouched from the original game, and, most importantly, it's pretty much the same deal all over again... and yet, this remains one of the finest specimens of hack 'n' slash-y, brawling fun...now on its perfect home: Nintendo Switch.
Years after its inital release, Bayonetta 2 keeps on delivering. It is still the best beat them all you can play at this time, the most beautiful, the craziest, the most generous. And the fact it's now playable wherever and whenever you want doesn't make it less essential, on the contrary.

Bayonetta 2 is the best action adventure game on Switch and in the Top 5 games on the system!
Bayonetta 2 remains one of Platinum's best games, and is a treat on Switch just as it was on Wii U.
The remastered version of Bayonetta 2 is a moral imperative for every owner of the Nintendo Switch who didn't play the most stylish and crazy action series of all time. There are some issues with the framerate here and there (especially in the exploration sequences), and the screen of the console has a better image quality than the TV. Nonetheless, a must-have for every action fan out there.

Bayonetta 2 is an amazing action game with a heap of content and tremendous added value, further provided by, for example, songs, artwork and other materials you collect in it. The authors improved the quality unit in every way, expanded the story and, above all, preserved a great dynamic action that still takes its breath away.

A fantastic sequel and one of the greatest action games ever made, and now available on a format that people actually own.
Bayonetta 2 is, along with its predecessor, one of the best stylish action games ever. The Switch version doesn't add much, but if you haven't played it yet, you have to.

Like the first chapter's porting, Bayonetta 2 is one of the best action game available on Switch, that despite the lack of new features is capable of offering a hardcore gameplay with a 60fps frame-rate on a hybrid console such as Switch. If you never experienced the game, you should evaluate to buy the retail version of Bayonetta 2, that will give you access to a digital code for the first game.
