DROS is an interesting adventure, but it has some problems that can make it a forgettable experience. It has a poor performance on Switch, basic combat and, at times, confusing puzzle and platform sections.

DROS is a fun game but it can be a bit too easy at times.  That combined with there not being much reason outside of in-game lore to get all of the optional goals might turn some people off.  However, the stages aren't incredibly long and the game is one that can be enjoyed in spurts, plus it can be a challenge to collect everything there is to find, allowing for some fair replay value.

DROS isn't bad, but it isn't good either, the game has a few more negatives than positives, but to be honest, it mostly has "neutrals" and is extremely uninteresting.

None of DROS' individual elements are particularly spectacular but they all come together nicely to create a solid puzzle platformer. The weaker aspects of its presentation don't matter as much because the stronger aspects such as art style and satisfying world-building shine when they need to. If the gameplay is all you care about, DROS also does that well enough to get a thumbs-up from me! 🖤

DROS is a game that beautifully combines hard puzzles and platforming components with an enthralling tale and an endearing cast. If you like games like this, where exploration takes center stage and combat takes a back seat, you should give DROS a go - you will not be let down. Oh, and do tell the Captain he has a beautiful face. He would like that, I think.

Dros is a fun and enjoyable game. I had a blast with the gameplay and puzzled my way to the exits. It is a timeless tale of two characters joining forces and discovering their similarities, and it is well executed. The combination of stealthy manoeuvres as you play as Dros and then the brute force of the Captain, all paired with great presentation, makes this game a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Dros wears its heart and 80s influences on its sleeve, combining elements of past 3D puzzle platform adventure games to craft a unique but familiar experience.

DROS is a solid little puzzle platformer that is sure to appeal to fans of the genre. The game’s unique setting is shared through phenomenal art and told through the experience of its two protagonists, whose unique relationship and complementary differences are the core to both the narrative and the gameplay. Pick up DROS for a relaxing yet mentally stimulating good time, and fall in love with the two simple but likable protagonists.
