As I said I don’t know what cricket is, and to be honest this game helped me expand my knowledge of the sport. Knowing things like the fact the Queen got involved at one point and demanded a rule change about it being boring to try and hit the goal post. And they even took cricket to outer space and would play in zero gravity. It was fascinating to see how much the game of cricket has intertwined with human history. While Cricket thru the Ages isn’t a long game, it is quite a fun one, made even more so if players can find a player 2. And with its simple one button controls literally anyone can play.

Cricket Through The Ages isn't much about Cricket, and that's ok. It starts slow, but with a pretty cool payoff in unlocking the other modes. It's way more entertaining to watch others play it, but you playing at home, alone, trying to convince other people to play it, is useless. Fire it up, hand your friends the controllers, and watch chaos ensue.

Cricket Through The Ages was a unique experience. I enjoyed my time with it, but I'll probably rarely pick it up again. As soon as you play it once, you'll have your fill.

Cricket Through the Ages benefits from a wacky premise, ironic presentation, and a subversive sense of humor. Regrettably, due to its simple controls, unreliable physics, and flailing gameplay, it's not all that enjoyable as a video game.

Cricket Through the Ages is a simple game, played using just one button, that works best for two players who are ready to have some dumb fun for about half an hour. Any longer than that and it becomes clear how limited and repetitive it all really is. Play against the computer and all the silliness isn’t worth very much.

Cricket Through the Ages is a casual sporting experience filled with moments that are as random as they are funny, especially if you invite your friends to join you. The problems of lack of intuitiveness and cohesion do exist, but the quick and uncompromising nature of the gameplay of this Free Lives title means that they do not become too serious — before that, you will have finished the game for the last time .

Cricket Through the Ages takes inspiration from cricket to create a really fun casual game. With its accessible gameplay and good humor spread across all its features, it becomes a great option for those leisure moments with friends, even if the tutorials are poorly designed. Despite this, I don't recommend it if you don't have a friend to share the experience with. The campaign is fun, but after a short while, there isn't much to explore in singleplayer.

There’s nothing wrong with having a fun time for the sake of itself, and Cricket Through the Ages is classic and proud in this position. Go ahead and learn things wrong. Build quantum computers with a hammer. Drink beer better than your fellow football hooligan. Knock down a wicket with a bow and arrow. Deliver a killer bowl as a T-Rex. It’s all possible here, and it’s as fun to watch as it is to play. Don’t ask for a deeper meaning or an unlockable secret ending: just go play cricket, or whatever the hell this is.
