Marvel's Wolverine Reviews
Marvel’s Wolverine had all the ingredients to deliver an interesting experience. However, by the time the final credits roll, you’re left with the feeling that the project’s full potential was never realized. Combat is the game’s strongest aspect, especially thanks to its brutality, but the lack of variety in combos and camera issues make encounters repetitive. The narrative feels drawn out, the characters are misrepresented, and Insomniac underestimates its audience’s intelligence by guiding them from beginning to end throughout the entire experience. Marvel’s Wolverine isn’t a bad game, but it fails to reach the level expected from the studio, ending up as just another bland game among so many others.

With an engaging story and a captivating cast of characters, Marvel’s 'Wolverine' tells a heartbreaking story that’ll leave you emotionally bleeding, just like the tips of our eponymous character’s blood-soaked claws. The combat system’s various veins and vessels take a moment to circulate, but once it gets flowing, this beast is hard to put down.
Marvel´s Wolverine delivers a linear, mature and brutally violent adventure where close-range combat perfectly captures Logan’s weight and aggression. Its story explores his memory and identity effectively, although encounters can become repetitive and some bosses absorb far too much damage.

Marvel's Wolverine is the kind of game that's easy to recommend but hard to rave about, and that’s okay. If you want a focused, brutal superhero story and prefer a tight campaign to a sprawling map, this is it.
I think I’ve been pretty succinct with what I’ve said above, but in short, Marvel’s Wolverine is a flawed, but fun experience that nails what it means to be The Living Weapon. Combat grows as you progress, the skill tree is fit-for-purpose, the gore is always set to eleven and the story… well, the story, specifically Act 3, is one of low points. It’s not up the standards Insomniac Games’ has set itself with its recent releases, but it’s still a standout release in many areas. Wolverine fans will love every second, action gamers most of it.
Marvel’s Wolverine delivers a fantastic story-driven action experience, featuring a very fast-paced narrative and a distinctive, brutal combat system. However, some flaws prevent the game from fully living up to our expectations after such a long wait. Nevertheless, it remains an enjoyable and light experience for fans of linear games and those who love the Wolverine character.

Marvel's Wolverine delivers a brutal, satisfying take on the Wolverine fantasy with excellent acting and technical polish, even if repetitive combat and overly linear exploration keep it from matching Insomniac's Spider-Man heights.

Marvel’s Wolverine delivers pure gaming fun and an adrenaline-fueled, emotional, brutal, bloody, non-stop ride that keeps you hooked every moment of the game, even when the remains of your victims and their blood aren’t on your claws. A perfect example of a great single-player action adventure!

Marvel’s Wolverine delivers the blood and spectacle, but the game beneath them never develops enough depth to match.
Marvel’s Wolverine, despite my grievances, is a pretty easy game to like. It’s slick, spectacular and often quite satisfying, in a bloody, gloriously violent sort of way, supported by excellent performances throughout. Sadly, the experience around it is often too familiar to games we’ve played many times before and wears out its welcome with an overly long campaign. I wish Logan could lend a claw or two and cut this down to a leaner, meaner adventure.
Wolverine doesn't innovate but still delivers a fun and challenging action game. Some misleading reviews may have portrayed something that turns players away, but rest assured this is still a good Wolverine experience.
Marvel’s Wolverine becomes an uneven game once the contradictions within it prevent the title from reaching its full potential in several areas. With major highlights such as its protagonist and combat, the game manages to entertain but ultimately frustrates due to wasted potential—while at the same time trying to spark anticipation for a future where, on PlayStation, we might finally see a definitive game centered on one of fiction’s most fascinating hero groups, led by a powerful Logan who still needs more allies.

Maybe their target audience isn't me or people who read or consume comics, but rather kids who are new to gaming, and they probably don't have the patience for that cinematic experience.

Marvel’s Wolverine nails brutal action and presentation, yet its predictable plot and lack of depth outside combat hold it back from its true potential.
Marvel’s Wolverine delivers a brutal, visually spectacular take on Logan with a compelling story, but its overly guided structure, limited exploration, and repetitive enemies make the experience feel much more restrictive than it should.

Marvel's Wolverine captures Logan's brutal physicality with real conviction, but plays it too safe everywhere else, delivering a solid superhero adventure that never quite matches the ambition of Insomniac's best work.

With fun and gory combat, along with a compelling story, Wolverine is unfortunately undone by how repetitive and one note it is.
It’s been a long time coming for Wolverine’s latest solo adventure from the same studio that made the highly successful Spider-Man games, but it has finally arrived. It may not be a Game of the Year contender, but it is still an action-packed adventure with a gripping and emotional story. The claws are finally out, and they are thirsty for blood in Marvel’s Wolverine!
Marvel's Wolverine hits the mark in areas where Insomniac already excels: top-tier presentation, strong performances, and brutal combat that effectively captures the character's rage. The problem is that, as a game, the experience simply fails to evolve. Combat that impresses in the opening hour repeats with little variation right up to the end credits; exploration is rendered hollow by the protagonist's own heightened senses; and stealth segments feel like an underutilized add-on. Factor in an unusual number of bugs for a Sony exclusive, and the result is a title that delivers less of a game than its price tag and the Wolverine name promise.

Sometimes, all you need is a few hours of pure action, characters you care about, a healthy dose of violence, and a protagonist with adamantium claws tearing through everything in his path. Marvel’s Wolverine delivers exactly that, with confidence, personality, and the level of quality you’d expect from Insomniac Games.
