In Conclusion Inayah: Life after Gods has all the makings of a great Metroidvania game, there are definitely areas where the game could be improved and frightened up. The UI could be a lot less clunky to use and Inayah could do with an off switch for her quips; But overall the artstyle and controls make this game well worth playing and I would be keen to try any other games that this studio produces.

ExoGenesis Studio's debut title, INAYAH - Life After Gods, is a great-looking Metroidvania that is held back by some frustrating design choices.

INAYAH – Life After Gods from developer Exogenesis Studios is a fun and flawed metroidvania adventure. Its narrative is quite good and purposeful, the art is out of this world visually amazing, and the backend design is complicated, as it is motivating. The repetitiveness of enemies and level design drag the gameplay down a bit but for the most part the game still delivers a worthy adventure.

A nice Metroidvania that can be quite fun, but when compared to other genre pieces, it falls short. The rather imaginative world is quite fun to explore, but the progression soon becomes monotonous and the motivation to continue diminishes.

‘INAYAH - Life after Gods’ is a title that certainly has potential that is not fully expressed. It could have taken only a few tweaks to make it a first-class title. If you are a casual gamer looking for a light metroidvania experience, it might offer you some fun moments, but be prepared to deal with a few imperfections.

I must admit that I had fun with INAYAH: Life After Gods, and I believe that the title does more than what is necessary to entertain us and deliver what we expect from the genre. Even though it doesn't break much of the metroidvania mold, the mechanics and ideas are well implemented and we can even consider it a good introduction to the style.
