Out of Sight Reviews
Out of Sight is a unique puzzle/horror game with a clever core idea, but there simply isn't enough to it to give it a full-throated recommendation.
Out of Sight is a short and simple experience that captures the horror of being a child in an unfamiliar and frightening situation. While its well-crafted audio design and second-person perspective distinguish it from other games of the genre, I was never excited by its flat and predictable story, nor its highly repetitive and bland gameplay.
Out of Sight is a second-person horror adventure about a blind girl named Sophie who must escape a haunted house before her elderly captors can subject her to
Out of Sight is a brilliantly done, creative game that combines two separate viewpoints, sound, and vision, and utilizes emotional storytelling. Despite a few small bugs, it's a must-play if you enjoy horror puzzles with powerful stories.
Despite its short duration, Out of Sight delivers a unique and captivating gaming experience, immersing players in a dark fairy tale rich in atmosphere. The clever camera mechanics, switching perspectives between Sophie and her teddy bear, Teddy, add depth to gameplay and puzzle-solving. While occasional trial-and-error moments may slightly affect progression, its strong narrative, well-paced rhythm, and outstanding sound design create an excellent experience. With its minimalist yet evocative aesthetic, Out of Sight offers a fresh and personal take on the horror genre.

Out Of Sight does everything tremendously well, and is by far one of my favorite games I ever played. To the game credit, it isn't long enough to allow any faults to shine through, but being short is my only issue with the game.
Leave it to the Swedes to come up with strong game concepts, as proven by The Gang's Out of Sight, where sneaking through a mansion with shady inhabitants—viewed through your teddy bear's button eyes—proves surprisingly satisfying, thanks to smooth transitions between first-person and fixed camera perspectives; though the 25-euro price for a sub-three-hour experience and the potential for motion sickness during intense chases might leave a bad taste in your mouth, especially when Starbreeze asks you to double-dip for the VR version.

It’s still fun to guide Sophie to safety through puzzle and pursuer alike thanks to a decent mystery and neat camera angles, but a more challenging level of difficulty and a more thorough aversion of many tried-and-true puzzle mechanics would have elevated Out of Sight into something truly special.
Out of Sight might not be the scariest of games, but it does offer some great set pieces and a fresh take on the genre.
Out of Sight is not one to be missed. It provides players with something brand new whilst keeping things simple for anyone to pick up and enjoy. Add in some great challenging puzzles, impeccable art design, and a story that keeps the mystery alive all throughout and you have a game that needs to be experienced. There are flaws for sure, less finicky controls and a much more satisfying resolution that ties up loose ends would have been appreciated, but they don’t hinder the experience too much.
Out of Sight is a fairly traditional horror adventure, for better or worse. It's not terribly scary, and the puzzles are relatively straightforward, but it's still a fun game to play. The innovative camera angles add just enough novelty to the genre that you'll enjoy the short single-player story.
