NBA 2K15 Reviews
It's not perfect as a complete package, but in terms of gameplay and visuals, as well as its assortment of modes, "NBA 2K15" is easily the best basketball game on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
NBA 2K15 is an astounding title full of modes that should see hoop heads playing compulsively until the next one in a year's time.
NBA 2K15 continues the franchise's run as the best sports game on the market, and there's a lot to love in its MyCareer mode even for people who aren't basketball fans.
For someone who never had a chance to live the basketball life and never will, NBA 2K15 is a very welcome addition to my shelf.
As far as basketball games go, however, NBA 2K15 easily remains the best option out there.
All in all, NBA 2K continues to dominate the basketball market. However, it may need a true competitor to really push the limits of what it can offer the player in terms of quality.
NBA 2K15 delivers a solid core basketball experience, particularly with MyCareer mode, which features real-life NBA player voices. But the game ties too much of the experience to its shoddy online component, which sabotages the experience—and even makes the game literally unplayable at times.
Online issues and forced connectivity for single player modes keep NBA2K15 from being the year's best sports game. Impressive visuals and rock-solid core mechanics however, make it a necessary addition to any NBA fan's library.
NBA 2K15 makes significant strides over its predecessor in terms of graphics and animation, but an inconsistent online multiplayer mode mars the experience a bit. Still, it's the best b-ball game around.
While NBA 2K15 is not perfect, it's still a playable NBA game that does a lot of things well.
In all honesty, you'll have to look very hard for something to hate about NBA 2K15. The developers over at Visual Concepts know how to keep raising the bar and like Kevin Durant on the cover, use each offseason to come back better than the last year.
2K Sports and Visual Concepts takes NBA 2K15 to the next level for another year, but stops short of introducing any sweeping changes. The on-court action has been refined and MyCareer is arguably better than ever, making NBA 2K15 another fine basketball game. It's just a shame that the online facet of the game is so poor. Despite this, NBA 2K15 is still well worth checking out.
It’s disappointing that NBA 2K15 isn’t currently up to the standard we’re used to. As the modes have started to come back to life it has definitely smoothed out, but there is still a little way to go. Hopefully this is a lesson learned by Visual Concepts and next year’s launch doesn’t have so many headaches. The core game is amazing, but with so many of the modes relying heavily with online connectivity, which hasn’t worked, it’s just dragged the experience down a notch for me.
I finally got to live out my dream of being very tall.
Overall NBA 2K15 is a fun game. In fact, all of the NBA 2k series manage to be fun games. It's just a question of whether or not you want to purchase this one, if you purchased the last one, and that's hard to say. I enjoyed the revamped MyCareer and MyGM modes, but in the end I really just wanted to spend more time online. The online suite is nice, of course, but the gameplay simply hasn't changed much. Basically NBA 2K15 is an expansion pack for NBA 2K14, and it's a good one! But don't expect to be blown away by something entirely new and different. You are getting the same game again, just with a few extras, and it's up to you whether or not that's worth a full price purchase.
Overall NBA 2K15 is an excellent game packed with a variety of features that will easily keep you busy up until the inevitable 2K16 release next year. Where the game shines the most is undoubtedly its presentation and gameplay physics. The career mode alone has enough drama to keep you entertained and coming back for more, but most importantly the entire game is fun to play and never ceases to impress you even after long periods of play. Fans of the NBA should be rather satisfied with the latest offering from 2K, and even if you are not a fan of Basketball, I'd still recommend checking the game out.
The NBA 2K series continues to deliver the best professional basketball experience available on consoles and PCs. Though some strange visual bugs might rub a bit of shine off of an otherwise excellent package, there's no denying how well NBA 2K15 plays.
NBA 2K15 offers a rich, rewarding on-court experience that is wholly enjoyable when you can take the court - which is sometimes.
2K Sports shoots and scores with another excellent basketball offering.
Even with some downsides, I really enjoyed NBA2k15. It really tries to capture sports in way that goes beyond numbers and statistics. It's something I appreciate, and something I think a lot of sports games could learn from.
