Sektori is a twin-stick arcade shooter that's all gameplay and audiovisual spectacle, completely overwhelming any need for plot.

Sektori is a triumph. Blending the core gameplay of Geometry Wars with several engaging new mechanics makes this one of the most satisfying and addictive games I've ever played. It boasts immaculate presentation with gorgeous visuals, a thumping soundtrack, and rock-solid 60fps gameplay. Some of the new mechanics may take some getting used to, and Sektori could do a better job at explaining them. Once you've got your head around all of it, though, it's impossible to put down. As far as twin-stick shooters go, Geometry Wars has been dethroned – there's a new king in town.
One of the greatest twin-stick shooters ever made, with some clever and original ideas married to a thumping soundtrack and appropriately minimalist visuals
Sektori is an adrenaline-fueled, edge-of-your-seat assault on the senses. I barely blinked, I barely breathed, and I'm seldom so enthralled with a video game, even if I can't manage to beat it.
Sektori is an intense arcade classic that will leave players in a trance-like state. With a splash of modernity, this explosion of particles, color, and skill begs for constant replays once players master its finely-tuned difficulty curve.
For some, seeing Sektori in action or hearing it be described might be enough, but I didn't "get it" until I had a controller in hand that eventually became sticky with sweat as I realized just how long I had been playing before taking a break. This is the logical evolution of classics like Geometry Wars, Resogun, and of course, Asteroids. And if you took any of those and added even more lights, colors, and a pulse-pounding soundtrack, you'd be within that heavenly realm that Sektori occupies. A true high-score chasing masterpiece in every sense of the word, Sektori is an unmissable addition to the Switch 2 library and an experience that I plan to stretch out for the rest of 2026 and beyond.
Unique twist on twin-stick space shooting. Fun, stylish, and challenging!
Made by solo developer and ex-Housemarque programmer Kimmo Lahtinen, Sektori is the closest thing you're going to get to the sweet rush of the likes of Resogun without revisiting Housemarque's back catalogue. It's tough as nails, but with eye-melting visuals and fast-paced twin-stick shooter action, you simply won't be able to get enough of it.
A fantastic and stylish twin-stick shooter, with a great level of polish.
If you're a fan of twin-stick shooters then you have to play Sektori as it's one of the best representations of the genre in modern gaming. 🔺
This probably sounds supremely, plainly obvious given the way in which I write about them, but I love video games. More than that, the best ones I’ve ever played go beyond love; they leave me with an itch, as if an electric current is running beneath my skin and reminding me of what I like about being alive. And baby, Sektori sure did leave me with an itch.
Even without focusing on narrative—something perfectly acceptable within the twin-stick shooter genre—Sektori finds its strength in what truly matters: sharp gameplay, intense matches, and a constant desire to try again. For fans of modern arcade challenges, it's a simple experience in structure, but hard to put down.

If you're looking for a simple game to get frustrated with while saying "just one more round" on your 300th attempt, Sektori is the game made especially for you! With strengths in both its gameplay and music, as well as the chaos the game provides at every turn, you may be surprised by how it unfolds as you unlock more cards, more ships, and more modes.

Sektori is a modern classic of the genre that sets one hell of a high bar for those that follow.
I love Sektori. The roguelike-inspired elements and smart risk/reward systems feel fantastic within the fluid arcade shooter framework Sektori delivers. I’d heard people loved this game, but playing it on the Switch 2 feels especially right at home on the platform. If you’re a fan of challenging twin-stick arcade shooters, pick up Sektori. You won’t regret it.
A successor to the legacy of Geometry Wars has arrived, and it’s here to kick your ass while looking and sounding great doing it
Despite its difficulty, Sektori is pretty much a perfect arcade-style twin-stick shooter and has fully earned its score. Even after hours of gameplay, I still don’t feel particularly skilled, but that is by no means the game’s fault – quite the opposite. I’m aware that I’m only at the beginning of my journey and nowhere near satisfied yet, and I intend to continue my “studies” with the game so that I can climb as high as possible on the global rankings. Sektori is a modern work of art that justifies every one of its gameplay design choices with style and craftsmanship. Instead of mocking the player, it rewards improvement fairly as skill grows.

Sektori is an indie sensation and a game I simply can’t get enough of. The first time I played this, I popped it on at 1 am in the morning with the intention of having a quick go before covering it properly in the days following. It was almost six in the morning by the time I dragged myself away. Beware, this game is insanely addictive. It has that “just one more run” vibe, and each time, I am convincing myself I can perform better. I am now drawn to trying to climb the online leaderboards, so there is plenty of life in this one for me yet, after more than 24 hours of gameplay. If you’re after a twin stick shooter that has lots of similarities to titles like Geometry Wars 1|2, then I urge you to buy this; it’s well worth it.
Sektori is pure arcade goodness, fast, vibrant, challenging, and incredibly easy to sink hours into without realising. Yes, it can be a bit unforgiving at times, and I think the early difficulty spike could be slightly softer, but those small critiques don’t take away from how fun it is. This is the kind of game you boot up for a quick run and accidentally play for an entire evening. It’s simple to learn, satisfying to master, and packed with that “one more try” energy that great arcade games thrive on. I really enjoyed my time with it, and if you’re looking for a quick-fire, neon-soaked shooter that respects your time and rewards your skill, Sektori is absolutely worth picking up.
